4. Setup and Connection
4.1 Connecting to Nintendo Switch / Switch OLED / Switch 2
- Ensure your Switch console is powered on.
- On the BEBONCOOL MC5000 controller, long press the HOME button until the light turns on, then release.
- The controller will enter pairing mode.
- On your Switch, navigate to 'Controllers' > 'Change Grip/Order'.
- Short press the HOME button on the controller to connect. The controller will pair with the Switch.
Note: This controller supports games compatible with the Pro controller. Games that can only be played with Joy-Cons are not supported. Wake-up host and C key voice menu functions are not supported on Switch 2.
4.2 Connecting to iOS / Android Mobile Devices
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS or Android device.
- On the BEBONCOOL MC5000 controller, press the B button and the HOME button simultaneously to enter pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices. The controller will appear as "Xbox Wireless Controller".
- Select "Xbox Wireless Controller" to pair.
- Once paired, you can play games and use game platforms that support controllers, such as Xbox Cloud, Steam Link, GeForce Now, MFi Apple Arcade, Call of Duty, Roblox, Minecraft, etc.
4.3 Attaching Your Device
The controller features a stretchable design suitable for holding Switch consoles and mobile phones with a length of 10.5cm to 20cm. The contact surfaces are equipped with a fully rubber pad to ensure a firm grip without slipping. It supports direct clamping even with conventional protective cases on your device.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Hall Effect Joystick and Linear Triggers
The controller is equipped with Hall Effect joysticks, providing ultra-precise control without drift, wear, or dead zones. The Hall linear triggers offer sensitive and accurate response with a long service life.
5.2 Turbo (Continuous Sending) Function
The controller supports a continuous sending function with three adjustable speeds:
- 4 shots per second
- 8 shots per second
- 16 shots per second
To adjust the speed, press the M button simultaneously with the Up Arrow Key to increase speed, or the Down Arrow Key to decrease speed.
5.3 Programmable Back Macro Buttons (M1/M2)
The controller features two back macro buttons (M1 and M2) that can be programmed to combine functions. Each button can be assigned up to 21 key values from the following: A, B, X, Y, L, L2, R, R2, Up, Down, Left, Right, L3, R3, +, and - keys.
- To Enter Programming Mode: Long press M + M1 or M + M2 for approximately 1 second. The HOME + RGB key lights will turn purple and flash simultaneously.
- To Program: Press the desired key values you wish to program.
- To Save: Press M1 or M2 to save the programmed sequence.
- To Clear Programming: Press and hold the M key for 5 seconds. The HOME + RGB keys will display a purple backlight and flash three times before returning to normal, indicating all programming settings for the back keys have been cleared.
5.4 RGB Colorful Joystick Aperture
Customize your gaming ambiance with the RGB lighting around the joysticks.
- Light Effect Mode Cycle: Press the RGB key to cycle through the following modes:
Colorful Flash → Colorful Gradient → Colorful Slow Flash → Monochrome Gradient → Pink Constant Light → Cyan Constant Light → Green Constant Light → Blue Constant Light → Purple Constant Light → Orange Constant Light. - Brightness Adjustment: There are 5 levels of brightness (10% - 30% - 50% - 80% - 100%).
Press Up Arrow Key + RGB to increase brightness.
Press Down Arrow Key + RGB to decrease brightness.
5.5 Joystick Zero Dead Zone Adjustment
To switch the corresponding joystick's zero dead zone for more timely and efficient game operation, press MACRO + R3/L3.
5.6 Dual Motor Vibration
The controller features dual motor vibration with four adjustable levels:
- None
- Weak
- Medium
- Strong
To adjust vibration intensity, press the Right Arrow Key + MACRO key to increase the gear, and the Left Arrow Key + MACRO key to decrease the gear.
5.7 Motion Sensing and Screenshot (Switch)
The controller supports motion sensing and screenshot recording functions when connected to a Nintendo Switch console. Amiibo functionality is not supported.
5.8 Keyinker APP Support
The controller supports the Keyinker APP, which allows you to change controller button settings and other configurations. Search for "MC5000" on the app store to download and use the application.
6. Charging and Battery Information
The BEBONCOOL MC5000 controller is equipped with an 800mAh rechargeable lithium polymer battery. A full charge provides approximately 6 hours of playing time when the RGB lights are fully lit. Charging takes approximately 2 hours.
- Charging Indicator: During charging, the RGB light will flash slowly in red.
- Fully Charged Indicator: When fully charged, the RGB light will remain on.
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
To clean the controller, use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these may damage the surface. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying.
7.2 Storage
Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the controller is fully charged before storage to prolong battery life.
7.3 Joystick Replacement
The joysticks can be replaced with the two pairs of different height sizes (4.5mm/7mm) included in the package. Gently pull off the existing joystick cap and push on the desired replacement cap until it is securely seated.
7.4 Grip Texture
The frosted texture grip is designed for a delicate touch, comfortable and firm hold, and is sweat-resistant and slip-resistant, ensuring comfort during long gaming sessions.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1 Controller Not Connecting
- Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged.
- Verify you are using the correct pairing method for your device (HOME for Switch, B+HOME for mobile).
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the controller is in pairing mode.
- Try restarting both the controller and your gaming device.
- If connecting to a mobile device, ensure no other Bluetooth devices are interfering.
8.2 Macro Programming Issues
- Ensure you are entering and exiting programming mode correctly (long press M+M1/M2 to enter, press M1/M2 to save).
- If macros are not working as expected, try clearing all programming settings (hold M for 5 seconds) and reprogramming.
- Confirm that the keys you are trying to program are supported.
8.3 RGB Lights Not Working
- Check if the controller battery is low.
- Press the RGB button to cycle through light modes.
- Adjust brightness using the Up/Down Arrow Key + RGB combination.
8.4 Controller Shuts Down Unexpectedly
- The controller will automatically shut down if the connected phone's Bluetooth is turned off.
- Ensure the battery is charged.
- To manually shut down, press and hold the MODE button for 5 seconds.
