5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Cleaning Modes
The Lefant M2S offers versatile cleaning options:
- Vacuum & Mop Mode: Attach the water tank and mop holder. The robot will vacuum and mop simultaneously. The 300ml water tank features 3 levels of electric water flow control for optimal mopping.
- Vacuum Only Mode: Use the dust box for dry vacuuming. The robot provides 10000Pa powerful suction with 3 adjustable levels.
5.2 Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance
The M2S utilizes advanced navigation technologies for efficient cleaning:
- dToF Laser Navigation: Automatically creates and saves up to three maps for multi-floor use, ensuring efficient and thorough cleaning with smart route planning.
- PSD Triangulation Obstacle Avoidance: This technology ensures precise obstacle detection in any environment, regardless of lighting or surroundings. The robot slows down at 10 cm from obstacles and turns to avoid them at 4 cm, preventing collisions and getting stuck.
5.3 Carpet Detection
In vacuum & mop mode, the robot automatically detects carpets and avoids them, keeping them dry. When in vacuum-only mode, it intelligently identifies carpets and increases suction to MAX for a deeper, more thorough clean.
5.4 Setting No-Go Zones
Using the Lefant App, you can easily set up virtual "No-go Zones" to prevent the robot from entering specific areas, such as pet feeding areas or delicate spaces.
5.5 Automatic Recharging & Resume Cleaning
When the battery is low or a cleaning cycle is complete, the robot automatically returns to its charging dock. If cleaning is unfinished, it will return to the last position after charging to 80% and resume cleaning.
5.6 Long-lasting Cleaning
The powerful 5,200mAh battery provides up to 240 minutes of runtime, covering an area of up to 240m² on a single charge, offering long-lasting, uninterrupted cleaning.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Lefant M2S robot vacuum.
6.1 Dust Box and Filter
- Emptying the Dust Box: Press the release button to remove the dust box. Open the lid and empty the contents into a trash bin after each cleaning cycle.
- Cleaning the Filter: Remove the HEPA filter from the dust box. Tap it gently to remove dust. The filter can be rinsed with water, but ensure it is completely dry before reinserting. Replace the HEPA filter every 3-6 months, depending on usage.
6.2 Water Tank and Mop
- Emptying and Refilling: After mopping, remove the water tank, empty any remaining water, and rinse it. Refill with clean water before each mopping session.
- Cleaning the Mop Pad: Remove the washable mop pad from the mop holder. Hand wash or machine wash the mop pad and let it air dry completely before reattaching. Replace disposable mop pads as needed.
6.3 Side Brushes
- Regularly check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris.
- Gently pull to remove any tangled material. If brushes are worn or damaged, replace them with new ones.
6.4 Sensors and Charging Contacts
