3. Safety Information

  • Always disconnect power at the circuit breaker before installing or servicing the device.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load rating of 150W for L1 and 20mA for 0/1-10V output.
  • Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrical shock.

5. Installation

The ANDELI Smart Dimmer Switch Module is designed to be compact and can be placed inside a standard switch box or fixed with screws. The rear cover is detachable for easy installation.

5.1 Wiring Diagram (ZigBee Version)

Connections for ZigBee Module:

  • L (Input): Connect to Live wire (AC100-240V).
  • N (Input): Connect to Neutral wire (AC100-240V).
  • S1 (Switch Input): Connect to a traditional wall switch for manual control.
  • L1 (Load Output): Connect to the Live input of your LED driver.
  • 10V+ (Output): Connect to the 0/1-10V positive control input of your LED driver.
  • 10V- (Output): Connect to the 0/1-10V negative control input of your LED driver.
  • GND: Connect to the Ground terminal of your LED driver.

Connections for WiFi Module:

  • L (Input): Connect to Live wire (AC100-240V).

General Installation Steps:

  1. Power Off: Ensure the main power supply to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker.

  3. Connect Wires: Follow the appropriate wiring diagram (Figure 4 for ZigBee, Figure 5 for WiFi) to connect the wires to the module's terminals. Ensure all connections are secure.
  4. Mount Module: Place the module inside the switch box or fix it to a suitable surface using screws. The detachable rear cover facilitates this.
  5. Restore Power: Once all connections are secure and the module is mounted, restore power at the circuit breaker.

6. Initial Setup & App Pairing

To unlock the full smart features of your ANDELI Dimmer Switch Module, you need to pair it with the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.

6.1 App Download & Account Creation

  1. Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya Smart" app from your smartphone's app store (available on Android and iOS).
  2. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

6.2 Pairing the Module

For ZigBee Version:

  1. Ensure you have a Tuya ZigBee Hub connected to your network and added to the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app. This hub is essential for the ZigBee module's functionality.
  2. In the app, go to your ZigBee Hub's page and select "Add sub-device" or similar option.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the dimmer module into pairing mode (usually involves pressing the reset button on the module for a few seconds until an indicator light blinks).
  4. The app will discover the device. Once found, you can rename it and assign it to a room.

For WiFi Version:

  1. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz networks are not supported).
  2. In the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app, tap "+" to add a new device.
  3. Select "Lighting" or "Switch" category and choose the appropriate device type (e.g., "Dimmer Switch (Wi-Fi)").
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to put the dimmer module into pairing mode (usually involves pressing the reset button on the module for a few seconds until an indicator light blinks rapidly).
  5. Confirm your WiFi network and enter the password. The app will then discover and connect to the device.
  6. Once found, you can rename it and assign it to a room.

7. Operation

7.1 Stepless Dimming

The module supports stepless dimming, allowing you to adjust the brightness of your lights to any desired percentage. This can be done via:

  • Original Wall Switch: If connected, a quick press will toggle on/off. Holding the switch may initiate dimming (behavior can vary based on switch type and configuration).
  • Smart Life/Tuya Smart App: Use the dimmer slider within the app to precisely control brightness.
  • Voice Commands: See Section 7.3 for details.

7.2 App Remote Control

7.3 Voice Control

The module is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant. Link your Smart Life/Tuya Smart account to your smart assistant app to enable voice control.

7.4 Timing Function

Set schedules within the app to automate your lighting. You can configure lights to turn on/off or adjust brightness at specific times, or even sync with sunrise/sunset.

  • Scheduled On/Off: Set lights to turn on at a specific brightness in the morning and off at night.
  • Inching Timer: Configure a short timer for temporary illumination, useful for hallways or closets.

7.5 Group Control

7.6 Relay States Function

The module features a relay states function that allows you to configure how the light behaves after a power outage or restart.

  • Customized: Set a specific default state (on/off/brightness level).
  • Light Off: Always return to the off state.
  • Remember Last Status: Return to the state it was in before the power interruption.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, ensure your WiFi network is stable and operating on the 2.4GHz band.

  • If experiencing connectivity issues, try restarting your router/ZigBee hub and the dimmer module.
