2. Safety Information

Please read these safety warnings carefully before using the device.

  1. Driving Safety Warning:

    When the vehicle is moving, the driver is prohibited from operating complex functions of this device (e.g., navigation route setting, audio/video file selection). Only voice control or assistance from the front passenger is allowed. Any operation that distracts the driver may cause traffic accidents; please focus on driving immediately in emergency road conditions.
  2. Circuit Safety Warning:

    This device is only suitable for 12V/24V DC in-car power supply. It must be connected to the vehicle's original circuit interface by professionals during installation. Direct connection to the positive and negative poles of the battery or modification of non-standard power cords is strictly prohibited. Poor wiring or overload use may cause circuit short circuits, fuse blowing, and even vehicle spontaneous combustion.
  3. Installation Safety Warning:

    The device must be fixed at the designated position on the center console to ensure firm installation without loosening, avoiding falling and hitting drivers and passengers due to inertia during sudden braking. The installation position shall not block the airbag deployment area, the driver's line of sight, and key indicator information on the instrument panel, otherwise, it will weaken the safety protection function or affect driving judgment.
  4. Environmental Safety Warning:

    Do not expose the device to extreme environments. Avoid direct sunlight on the device screen in summer (high temperature in the car may damage the screen). Do not place flammable and explosive items such as lighters and alcohol sprays near the device to prevent explosion or fire caused by high temperature.
  5. Disposal and Recycling Warning:

    Waste devices and accessories shall be disposed of in accordance with the EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) through designated e-waste recycling points, and shall not be mixed with household waste. 5.1. Dual System Switching

The device supports a dual system, allowing you to switch freely between the original car system and the Android system. This ensures that all original car functions, such as car information display, parking system, original rear view camera, radio, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, and USB, are maintained.

5.2. Mobile Phone Connection (CarPlay & Android Auto)

The car entertainment system can be connected to your phone, using an iPhone app for Apple CarPlay and an Android image on the car's screen for Android Auto. Both wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.

6. System Settings

6.1. Resolution Setup

If the My-car app shows no signal or has a poor-resolution menu display, follow these steps:

  1. Check the LVDS port. Make sure you connect the LVDS plug (removed from the OEM screen) to the new screen.

7. Troubleshooting (FAQ)

Q: What is the password for Factory Settings?
A: The password for UI 1 is 666666. The password for UI 2 is 8888.
Q: My car's original system looks bad after installing the Android unit, what should I do?
A: There are two solutions. First, check the Setting > Factory Setting > "Input password" > BMW Settings > Automatically Select option. If this setting does not resolve the issue, please contact our support team for a video guide on an alternative solution.
Q: When using CarPlay, I cannot hear sounds, but the original Bluetooth sounds work fine.
A: This usually happens if your phone is still connected to the original car's Bluetooth. Please forget the original Bluetooth connection on your phone and then reconnect to the Android unit's Bluetooth.
Q: Cannot connect with CarPlay.
A: Follow these steps:
  1. Make sure the screen is connected to WiFi.
  2. Pull down the Status Bar, long-press "Hot spot", go to WiFi Hotspot > Advanced > AP Band, and switch to 2.4Ghz.
  3. Turn OFF the car for more than 5 minutes, then restart and try again.
Q: The audio sounds sometimes terrible.
A: Adjust the media volume to 20-25 in Setting > Volume > Media.
Q: Why does the sound in NBT/EVO version automatically switch to the original car system sound when using the Android system?
A: For some NBT/EVO models, you need to long-press the number "8" in AUX mode of the original system to save AUX. This will allow the Android system's sound to work correctly. The specific steps are as follows:
  1. Navigate to the original system's multimedia page.
  2. For external devices, press and hold the number "8" on the air conditioner panel.
  3. After holding "8", numbers will display on top of the screen.
  4. "Hold for a long time to store" will appear until a "drip" sound is released.
  5. Once released, select "AUX Front" and the AUX volume will appear.
  6. After adjusting the volume, touch the screen to go to the Android system, and the Android system sound should work.
