6. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your adapter, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

6.1. Compatibility Issues

  • Problem: The adapter does not work with my car.
  • Solution: Double-check that your car has original OEM wired CarPlay. Confirm your car model is not BMW, Tesla, or another known incompatible model.
  • Problem: My Android phone cannot use CarPlay.
  • Solution: Android phones support Android Auto, not CarPlay. CarPlay is exclusively for iPhones. Ensure you are attempting to connect to Android Auto.
  • Problem: My Huawei/Honor phone cannot connect to Android Auto.
  • Solution: Huawei and Honor phones, due to their EMUI operating system, are not compatible with wireless Android Auto via this adapter.

6.2. Audio Delay

  • Problem: There is a slight delay in audio during use.
  • Solution: This can be a normal phenomenon with Bluetooth connections. Try the following:
    • Turn off any redundant Bluetooth devices nearby that might interfere with the connection.
    • Disconnect and then reconnect the adapter's Bluetooth connection from your phone.

6.3. Android Auto Connection Problems

  • Problem: My wireless Android Auto cannot connect properly.
  • Solution:
    • For Android system phones with lower versions (Android 9 or Android 10), if Android Auto is not found in Google services, you may need to download and install the Android Auto software manually.
    • Confirm that both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your phone. Android Auto requires both for connection and data transfer.
    • Ensure that your phone has 'ignored' or forgotten the original car's Bluetooth connection. If other Bluetooth connections are active, disconnect them first.
    • Verify that the adapter's Bluetooth is not currently occupied by another device. Disconnect any other devices from the adapter's Bluetooth and try again.
