4. Setup Guide

4.1 Charging the Batteries

  • Drone Battery: Connect the drone battery to the provided USB charging cable and plug it into a 5V USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter, power bank). The indicator light will be on during charging and turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
  • Remote Control Battery: Connect the remote control to the USB charging cable. The indicator light will show charging status and turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 1 hour.

4.2 Propeller Installation

Ensure propellers are installed correctly according to their markings (A and B) on the corresponding motor arms. Use the provided screwdriver to secure them firmly. Incorrect installation can affect flight stability and safety.

4.3 App Download and Connection

  1. Download the "RX Drone GPS APP" from your smartphone's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Power on the drone and the remote control.
  3. On your smartphone, connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named "L106-1_XXXX").
  4. Open the RX Drone GPS APP to establish a connection and view the live feed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Remote Control Guide

  • Left Joystick: Controls altitude (up/down) and rotation (left/right).
  • Right Joystick: Controls forward/backward and left/right movement.
  • Power Switch: Turns the remote control on/off.

  • One-Click Return Button: Initiates automatic return to home point.

5.2 Basic Flight Operations

  1. Takeoff: Place the drone on a flat, open surface. Power on the drone and remote. Unlock the motors using the dedicated button. Press the one-click takeoff button or push both joysticks diagonally outwards and then the left joystick up.
  2. Landing: Press the one-click landing button or slowly pull the left joystick down until the drone lands. Once landed, lock the motors.
  3. Altitude Hold: The drone will automatically maintain its altitude once the left joystick is released to the center position.
  4. Directional Control: Use the right joystick to move the drone forward, backward, left, or right.

5.3 Smart Flight Functions

  • GPS Follow: The drone tracks your movement via satellite, ideal for recording outdoor activities like running or cycling.
  • Image Follow: The drone uses visual recognition to follow a designated subject (e.g., a person), keeping them in the frame.
  • Gesture Shooting: Stand 1-3 meters in front of the camera. Make a "peace sign" for a photo or a "record gesture" to start/stop video recording.
  • Waypoint Planning: In the app, draw a desired flight path on the map. The drone will automatically follow this route, allowing you to focus on camera control.

  • One-Click Return (RTH): Press the RTH button on the remote, and the drone will automatically return to its takeoff point. This function also activates automatically in case of low battery or signal loss.
  • Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance: The drone is equipped with a 4-way obstacle avoidance system. When an obstacle is detected, the drone will automatically brake to prevent collisions.

5.4 Camera Functions

  • Adjustable Camera: The camera angle can be adjusted 90° electrically via the remote control for optimal framing.

6. Maintenance

  • Drone Body & Camera: Clean the drone body and camera lens with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure the camera lens is free of dust and smudges for clear footage.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the drone and its accessories in the provided compact storage bag to protect them from dust and physical damage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Drone not powering on: Ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly inserted.
  • Drone not responding to remote: Check if both drone and remote are powered on and successfully paired. Re-pair if necessary.
  • Unstable flight/Drifting: Perform gyroscope and geomagnetic calibration as per the remote control guide. Check for damaged propellers.
  • Poor image quality/Blurry footage: Clean the camera lens. Ensure sufficient lighting. Check if the electronic anti-shake feature is active.
  • GPS signal loss: Fly in open areas away from tall buildings or dense foliage. Ensure sufficient GPS satellites are acquired before takeoff.
  • Obstacle avoidance not working: Ensure the obstacle avoidance module is clean and unobstructed. Fly within recommended distances from obstacles.
  • Drone lost: Use the "Drone Locator" function in the app (click the GPS icon 3 times on the remote) to view its last known position on the map.
