6. Operating Instructions
Before operating the JIS LV20, ensure all pre-flight checks are completed and you are familiar with your flight controller's specific operating procedures.
- Pre-Flight Checks:
- Verify all screws and connections are tight and secure.
- Inspect propellers for any damage.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged and securely connected via the ACES plug.
- Check the pesticide or granule tank for proper installation and fill level.
- Confirm all sensors (obstacle avoidance, terrain) are clean and functioning.
- Perform a system check on your flight controller (V9 or K++) and remote control.
- Filling the Tank:
- For spraying, fill the 20L pesticide tank with the desired liquid. The 44mm inlet facilitates easy filling with a fuel gun. Ensure the double filter is in place to prevent clogs.
- For spreading, replace the pesticide tank with the 40L granule tank and fill with granules.
- Flight Operation:
- Place the drone on a flat, open surface, clear of obstacles.
- Power on the remote control, then the drone.
- Follow your flight controller's manual for calibration and flight mode selection.
- Initiate takeoff and perform spraying/spreading operations according to your mission plan.
- Monitor battery levels and payload distribution during flight.
- Landing:
- Return the drone to the designated landing area.
- Execute a controlled landing, ensuring a smooth touchdown.
- Power off the drone, then the remote control.
7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliable performance of your JIS LV20 drone.
- After Each Flight:
- Clean the Drone: Wipe down the frame, arms, and especially the tank and spraying/spreading components to remove any residue. The water & dust proof design aids in cleaning.
- Inspect Propellers: Check for any cracks, chips, or deformities. Replace damaged propellers immediately.
- Check Connections: Ensure all electrical connections, including the ACES plug, are secure and free from corrosion.
- Arm Protection Rings: Inspect the replaceable arm protection rings for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
- Periodic Maintenance (e.g., every 10-20 flights):
- Structural Inspection: Examine the aluminum girder frame and carbon fiber arms for any signs of stress, cracks, or loose fasteners.
- Motor and ESC Check: Listen for unusual noises from motors during operation. Check ESCs for signs of overheating.
- Sensor Calibration: Re-calibrate sensors (e.g., obstacle avoidance, terrain) as per your flight controller's instructions.
- Tank System Check: Inspect hoses, pumps (if dual pump system is used), and filters for blockages or leaks. Clean or replace as needed.
- Storage:
- Store the drone in its folded configuration in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
- Remove batteries for long-term storage and store them according to manufacturer guidelines.
