1. Introduction

The FiiO Air Link is a portable, high-resolution Bluetooth transmitter designed to upgrade your devices for lossless wireless audio. Featuring the flagship Qualcomm QCC5181 chip and Bluetooth 6.0, it supports advanced codecs like LDAC and aptX Lossless, ensuring a premium audio experience. Its compact design includes a multi-function button for easy control, a dedicated Type-C port for simultaneous charging and use, and brilliant RGB lighting to indicate connection status and active codec. Control and firmware updates are managed via the FiiO Control app or a web interface.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Initial Connection

Simply plug the FiiO Air Link into your device's Type-C port. The device is designed for plug-and-play functionality to immediately support high-resolution audio codecs like LDAC, aptX Adaptive 96kHz/24bit, and aptX Lossless.

3.2 Pairing with Headphones/Speakers

  1. Ensure your wireless headphones or speakers are in pairing mode.
  2. Press and hold the multi-function button on the FiiO Air Link for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. The indicator light will flash red and blue alternately.
  3. Select 'FiiO Air Link' from your headphone/speaker's Bluetooth device list to connect.

3.3 Clearing Paired Connections

To clear all previously paired connections and enter pairing mode, press and hold the multi-function button for 10 seconds.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Simultaneous Charging and Use

The FiiO Air Link features an independent Type-C port, allowing you to charge your connected device (e.g., mobile phone) while simultaneously using the Air Link for lossless audio transmission. This ensures uninterrupted power for your audio experience.

Note:

  • Charging is only compatible with devices that support 5V charging, such as mobile phones.
  • Do not connect a charger to the Air Link while it is also charging high-voltage devices like laptops, as this may cause damage.

4.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

The Air Link utilizes Bluetooth 6.0 for stable, high-performance, and long-range connections with minimal power consumption. It offers low latency and robust anti-interference capabilities for true wireless freedom.

6.1 Device Not Pairing

  • Ensure the FiiO Air Link is in pairing mode (flashing red and blue light).
  • Make sure your headphones/speakers are also in pairing mode and discoverable.
  • Try clearing all paired connections on the Air Link by holding the multi-function button for 10 seconds, then re-attempt pairing.
  • Ensure there are no other active Bluetooth devices interfering with the connection.

6.2 No Sound or Poor Audio Quality

  • Check that the Air Link is securely plugged into your source device's Type-C port.
  • Verify that your headphones/speakers are properly connected to the Air Link.
  • Ensure the volume on both your source device and headphones/speakers is turned up.
  • Try restarting both the source device and your headphones/speakers.
  • If using the FiiO Control app, check the selected Bluetooth codec settings.

6.3 Charging Issues

  • Confirm that the connected device supports 5V charging.
  • Use a compatible 5V charger and cable.
  • Avoid charging high-voltage devices (e.g., laptops) through the Air Link's charging port.
