5.3. Temperature Tracking and Alarms
The T3 supports real-time temperature tracking with three key measurement points:
- Center Point: Displays the temperature at the center of the screen.
- Highest Temperature: Automatically tracks and displays the highest temperature in the field of view.
- Lowest Temperature: Automatically tracks and displays the lowest temperature in the field of view.
You can set on-screen marker alarms and audio alarms for high/low temperature thresholds within the app settings.

5.4. Temperature Analysis Visualization
The app allows for detailed temperature analysis, including 3 points, 3 lines, and 3 surface measurements. You can freely calibrate key areas for precise analysis.

5.5. Color Palettes
Choose from 15 different color palettes to visualize thermal data. This helps in highlighting specific temperature ranges and contrasts for better analysis. Available palettes include Red hot, Rainbow, Lava, Iron red, Black hot, White hot, and more.

5.6. Thermal Imaging and Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Mode
The T3 supports both pure thermal imaging mode and a Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode. PIP mode overlays a visual image with the thermal image, providing context and adapting to professional inspection and quick preview needs.

5.7. Multilingual User Interface
The app supports seamless switching between thirteen languages, making thermal insights accessible globally. Supported languages include: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Russian, Japanese, German, French, Italian, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Arabic.

6. Macro Lens Usage (Optional)
For the "T3 and Macro Lens" model, the included magnetic macro lens is designed for observing subtle temperature differences and distribution on tiny targets, such as electronic components on PCBs. Simply attach the macro lens to the front of the thermal camera. The macro lens enhances the detail visible in close-up thermal images.

8. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: Use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the camera lens and body. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the camera in the provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-20°C to +60°C).
- Handling: Handle the camera with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Humidity: Ensure the operating and storage humidity levels are maintained between 10%~90%RH (Non-condensing).
9. Troubleshooting
- Camera not detected by smartphone:
- Ensure the camera is securely plugged into the Type-C USB port.
- Verify that your smartphone is an Android device and supports USB OTG (On-The-Go) functionality.
- Make sure the "YaoGuang Zhigan APP" is installed and updated to the latest version.
- Try restarting the app or your smartphone.
- Thermal image appears frozen or pauses briefly:
This is a normal phenomenon. The thermal imaging detector has a mechanical control calibration plate that performs a non-uniformity correction approximately every 10 seconds to ensure accurate measurements. This calibration causes a brief pause of about 1-3 seconds. It is part of the camera's normal operation and not a malfunction.
- Inaccurate temperature readings:
- Check the emissivity setting in the app. Ensure it is correctly set for the material you are measuring (default is 0.95).
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions.
- Allow the camera to stabilize in the environment for a few minutes before taking critical measurements.
10. User Tips
- Mobile Phone Repair: This thermal camera is highly effective for mobile phone repair, especially for identifying hot spots on PCBs. For observing very fine details on small components, the optional macro lens is highly recommended. While usable without the macro lens, fine-grained analysis will be significantly improved with it.
- Versatile Applications: The T3 is suitable for a wide range of applications beyond mobile repair, including electrical fault detection, HVAC duct inspection, automotive repair, new energy inspections, and even pinhole/anti-peep detection.
- Optimal Viewing: Experiment with different color palettes to find the best visualization for your specific inspection task.
