4. Initial Setup

4.1. Inserting the Memory Card

  1. Locate the TF card slot on the side of the camera.
  2. Insert a compatible TF (microSD) card (up to 256GB) with the chip facing the screen direction into the card slot until it clicks into place.

4.2. Charging the Camera

Before first use, fully charge the camera. Connect the provided USB-A to USB-C cable to the camera's Type-C port and a power source (e.g., USB wall adapter, computer USB port). The charging indicator will show the charging status.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Power On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually marked with a circle and a vertical line) for a few seconds until the screen lights up.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds to turn off the device.

5.2. Recording Video

  1. Ensure a memory card is inserted and the camera is powered on.
  2. Press the OK button (usually marked with "OK") to start recording. A recording indicator will appear on the screen.
  3. Press the OK button again to stop recording and save the video.

5.3. Night Vision (LED Fill Light)

To activate the night vision fill light:

  • While the camera is on, long-press the Down button (usually marked with a down arrow) to turn on the night vision fill light.
  • Long-press the Down button again to turn off the night vision fill light.

5.4. Accessing Settings Menu

To enter the settings interface:

  • Long-press the Settings button (usually marked with a square icon) for 2 seconds to enter the menu setting interface.
  • Continue to long-press the Settings button to exit the menu.

5.5. Rest Screen Mode (Sleep Mode)

While recording, you can enter rest screen mode to save battery:

  • While recording, simply press the Power button once to enter the rest screen mode. The recording will continue in the background.
  • Press the Power button again to wake the screen.

5.6. WiFi Connection and App Usage

Connect your camera to your smartphone via WiFi for real-time viewing, playback, and file management:

  1. Long-press the Up button (usually marked with an up arrow) to enter WiFi hotspot connection mode. A QR code and SSID/password will appear on the camera screen.
  2. Download and open the dedicated APP on your smartphone.
  3. In the APP, click the top right corner to add a recorder.
  4. Go to your phone's WiFi settings, select the WiFi hotspot displayed on the camera screen (SSID: ZCM12-...), and enter the password (Key: 12345678).
  5. Return to the APP. It should automatically connect and enter preview mode, allowing you to view live footage.
  6. To view recorded videos, enter the recorder file section within the app. Note that preview mode shows compressed low-resolution video. For original HD video, you need to download it through the app.

5.7. OTG Connection for File Transfer

You can directly connect the camera to your smartphone using the provided OTG adapter for quick file transfer:

  1. Connect the OTG adapter to the camera's Type-C port.
  2. Connect the other end of the OTG adapter to your smartphone's Type-C port.
  3. Once connected, select "storage" on the camera screen to access files on your phone.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution. Avoid harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
