Three ways to protect evidence: Voice Control Lock, G-sensor Auto-Detect Lock, Button One-Press Lock.

Figure 8: Evidence Protection Methods

  • Voice Control Lock: Use the voice command "Lock the video" to manually protect the current recording.
  • G-sensor Auto-Detect Lock: The built-in G-sensor automatically detects sudden impacts or collisions and locks the current video segment to prevent overwriting.
  • Button One-Press Lock: Press the designated button on the dash cam to manually lock the current recording.

The dash cam supports loop recording in 1, 2, or 3-minute segments. When the memory card is full, the oldest videos will be overwritten, except for locked emergency files.

4.3 24-Hour Parking Monitor

For continuous protection when your vehicle is parked, the M200 Max offers two parking modes. An optional Type-C 3-lead hardwire kit (ASIN: B0BM9JL327) is required for these features.

Two 24/7 Parking Modes: Collision Detection and Time-lapse Recording. Collision mode shows a car being hit, Time-lapse shows a parking lot over time.

  • Collision Detection: If an impact is detected while parked, the dash cam will automatically lock a one-minute video to preserve evidence.
  • Time-lapse Recording: Records continuously at a low frame rate, compressing hours of footage into minutes, ideal for long-term parking surveillance.

4.4 Video Playback

You can review recorded footage using two methods:

Two ways to play back videos: wirelessly via the AZDOME M200 Max app on a phone, or by removing the memory card and viewing on a computer.

  • Memory Card: Regularly format your microSD card (at least once a month) to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can be done via the dash cam settings or the app. Triple-press the power button to format the SD card.
  • Firmware Updates: Check the AZDOME official website or app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures (hot or cold) for prolonged periods, as this can affect battery life and component performance.
