Connecting Your Keyboard
The Akko 5087B Plus supports three connection modes: USB Type-C (wired), 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth.
1. Wired Connection (USB Type-C)
- Locate the USB Type-C port on the keyboard.
- Connect one end of the provided USB Type-C cable to the keyboard.
- Connect the other end of the cable to an available USB port on your computer.
- The keyboard will be automatically detected and ready for use.
2. 2.4GHz Wireless Connection
- Locate the 2.4GHz wireless receiver. It is usually stored in a compartment on the keyboard.
- Plug the 2.4GHz receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- On the keyboard, switch the mode selector to 2.4G wireless mode.
- The keyboard should automatically connect. If not, press Fn + E (for 2.4G pairing) to initiate pairing.
3. Bluetooth Connection
The keyboard supports Bluetooth 5.0 and can pair with up to three devices.
- On the keyboard, switch the mode selector to Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for Bluetooth device 1, 2, or 3 respectively. The indicator light will flash rapidly.
- On your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone), open Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
- Select "Akko 5087B Plus" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the indicator light on the keyboard will stop flashing and remain solid for a few seconds.
- To switch between paired Bluetooth devices, press Fn + Q, Fn + W, or Fn + E briefly.

Operating Instructions
Basic Keyboard Functions
- Typing: Use the keys as you would on any standard keyboard.
- Function Keys (F1-F12): These keys may have secondary functions accessible by pressing the Fn key simultaneously. Refer to the keycap legends for specific functions.
RGB Backlighting Control
The keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting. Control is primarily through the Akko Cloud Driver software, but some basic controls are available directly on the keyboard:
- Change Lighting Mode: Use Fn + specific keys (refer to keyboard legends, often arrow keys or dedicated lighting keys) to cycle through different RGB effects.
- Adjust Brightness: Use Fn + Up/Down arrow keys (or similar, check legends) to increase or decrease backlight brightness.

Battery Management
The keyboard is equipped with a 3000mAh battery for wireless operation.
- Charging: Connect the keyboard via the USB Type-C cable to a computer or a USB power adapter. The indicator light will show charging status.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Keyboard

- Keyboard Body: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution. Avoid excessive moisture.
- Between Keys: Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keys.
Replacing Switches (Hot-Swappable Feature)
The Akko 5087B Plus features 5-pin hot-swappable sockets, allowing you to change switches without soldering.
- Remove Keycap: Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove the keycap from the switch you wish to replace.
- Remove Switch: Use the provided switch puller to carefully grip the top and bottom clips of the switch. Gently pull the switch straight up to remove it from the PCB.
- Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Ensure the pins are straight. Gently push the switch down until it clicks into place. Do not force it.
- Reattach Keycap: Place the keycap back onto the new switch.

Troubleshooting
Keyboard Not Responding
- Wired Connection:
- Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the keyboard and the computer.
- Try a different USB port on your computer.
- Try a different USB Type-C cable.
- 2.4GHz Wireless Connection:
- Ensure the 2.4GHz receiver is properly plugged into a USB port.
- Verify the keyboard is switched to 2.4G mode.
- Re-pair the keyboard by pressing Fn + E.
- Ensure there are no strong wireless interferences nearby.
- Bluetooth Connection:
- Ensure the keyboard is switched to Bluetooth mode.
