5.4 Firmware Updates

The ATS Mini V4 supports firmware upgrades. Connect the device to a computer via the TYPE-C port. Refer to the official AMNVOLT website or community forums for the latest firmware and instructions on how to update. Regular updates are recommended for optimal performance and new features.

6. Care and Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the receiver in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Charging: Always use a standard USB charger and TYPE-C cable. Avoid fast chargers to prevent battery damage.
  • Antenna Care: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to prevent bending or breaking. Ensure the loop antenna is securely attached.
  • Firmware: Keep the firmware updated to ensure the best performance and access to the latest features.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Weak Signal Reception

  • Antenna Position: Adjust the position and orientation of the telescopic antenna. For the loop antenna, utilize its 360-degree rotation capability to find the optimal signal.
  • External Interference: Move away from electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • FM Reception with Headphones: If using headphones as an FM antenna, try a longer headphone cable for improved reception in weak signal areas.

7.2 Weak WiFi Signal (Metal Casing Version)

If you have the CNC metal casing version, the metal material can have a shielding effect on wireless electromagnetic signals. While this improves interference suppression for radio reception, it may weaken the device's WiFi signal strength. This is a characteristic of the metal casing and not a defect.

7.3 Device Not Powering On

  • Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged. Connect to a power source and allow it to charge for a while before attempting to power on again.
  • Verify the charging cable and adapter are functioning correctly.

7.4 Software Version

The device comes with firmware version VER.2.3.1 or later installed. For the latest features and bug fixes, it is recommended to regularly check for and install firmware updates.

9. User Tips

  • Metal Casing Consideration: If you choose the CNC metal casing version, be aware that while it improves interference suppression for radio signals, it may slightly weaken the device's WiFi signal strength due to its inherent shielding properties.
  • Headphone as FM Antenna: For optimal FM reception, especially in areas with weaker signals, use wired headphones with longer cables. Remember, headphones are not included.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install the latest firmware updates to ensure your device operates with the best performance and has access to new features.
  • Loop Antenna Usage: When using the rotatable loop antenna, experiment with its 360-degree rotation to achieve the best possible signal reception.
  • Portability: The compact size of the ATS Mini V4 makes it an excellent companion for outdoor activities like hiking and camping.
