5. Setup
5.1. Choosing a Location
Select a location that provides optimal sunlight exposure for the solar panel throughout the day. Ensure the camera has a clear line of sight to the area you wish to monitor and is within range of your WiFi network (for WiFi version) or has good 4G signal (for 4G version).
5.2. Mounting the Camera and Solar Panel
- Assemble the Camera: Attach the universal bracket to the camera unit. The angle of the camera's top bracket can be manually adjusted. The left and right bullet cameras also support manual adjustment for both horizontal and vertical directions.
- Mount the Camera: Use the positioning sticker to mark drill holes on your desired mounting surface (wall, ceiling, or side). Drill the holes, insert the wall plugs, and secure the camera using the provided screws.
- Mount the Solar Panel: Attach the solar panel to its bracket. Mount the solar panel in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight. Use the 1.8m extension cord to connect the solar panel to the camera unit.
5.3. Powering On and Connectivity
- Insert TF Card (Optional): If you plan to use local storage, insert a TF card (up to 128GB, not included) into the TF card slot.
- Connect Solar Panel: Connect the 1.8m extension cord from the solar panel to the charging interface on the camera. The camera will begin charging its built-in 8000mAh battery.
- Choose Your Version:
- WiFi Version: The camera needs to be connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz WiFi is not supported). Ensure your WiFi router is within range.
- 4G Version: Insert a 4G data SIM card into the SIM card slot (located inside the camera, refer to Figure 5.2). This version does not support WiFi connection. Note: The 4G version supports LTE frequency bands B1/B3/B7/B8/B20/B28. It is NOT supported in Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and other American countries.

Figure 5.5: 4G Camera Version Setup - Download and Install the V380 Pro App: Search for "V380 Pro" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android) and install it.
- Initial App Setup: Follow the in-app instructions to register an account and add your camera. This typically involves scanning a QR code on the camera or manually entering its ID.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Live View and Playback
Once the camera is connected to the app, you can access live video streams and review recorded footage. The app supports TF card storage and cloud storage (paid subscription) for video recording.
6.2. PTZ Control and Three-Screen Monitoring
The camera features a main PTZ lens and two fixed side bullet cameras, providing a comprehensive three-screen view within the app. All three lenses contribute to a 15MP (6K equivalent) resolution.
- Main PTZ Lens: Electronically control the main lens to pan horizontally 0-355 degrees and tilt vertically 0-100 degrees via the V380 Pro app.
- Side Bullet Cameras: The left and right bullet cameras can be manually adjusted 180 degrees for both pan and tilt during installation to cover specific areas.
6.3. 10X Digital Zoom
All three PTZ lenses support 10X digital zoom. You can pinch to zoom in or out on the live view or recorded footage within the V380 Pro app to see finer details.
6.4. Humanoid Detection and Tracking
The camera utilizes a highly sensitive PIR motion sensor combined with AI humanoid detection to minimize false alarms. When a human is detected, the camera can automatically track their movement (only the middle lens supports automatic tracking) and trigger an alarm.
- Alarm Information: The mobile app will display alarm information prompts and can trigger a sound alarm.
- PIR Detection Distance: Effective within 8 meters.
6.5. Activity Alarm Area
You can define specific activity alarm areas within the mobile app. The camera will only trigger alarms when motion is detected within these designated zones.
6.6. Night Vision
The camera offers two night vision modes:
- Infrared Night Vision: Provides clear black and white footage in low-light conditions.
- Full Color Night Vision: When the camera detects a moving object in white light mode, it will automatically turn on the white light and start recording in full color.
6.7. Two-Way Audio Communication
Equipped with a built-in microphone and speaker, the camera enables two-way voice intercom. You can communicate with visitors or deter intruders directly through the V380 Pro app.
6.8. Recording Modes
The camera offers three working modes to balance battery life and recording coverage:
- Low-Power Mode: PIR detection alarm, low power consumption for stable battery life. The device sleeps and triggers alarm recording only when someone passes by.
- Adaptive Power Mode: Smartly switches recording modes, balancing continuous recording and battery life. The device continues recording when the battery is sufficient, and switches to PIR detection recording when the battery is low.
- Battery Saving Mode: Always sleep. Only remote wake-up. Ultimate battery life. Recording is off, and the device can only be awakened when viewing remotely through the app.
It is suggested to choose low-power mode for optimal performance.
6.9. Preset Point Settings
You can set preset points in advance within the app to quickly view important areas without manually adjusting the PTZ every time.
6.10. Device Sharing
After setting up the camera in the main account, it can be shared with multiple family members. Use the sharing function in the V380 Pro app to grant access to others.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the camera lenses and solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to ensure clear vision and efficient charging. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Battery Care: While the camera is solar-powered, ensure the solar panel receives adequate sunlight. If the battery level is consistently low, consider repositioning the solar panel or occasionally charging the camera via the USB port.
- Firmware Updates: Check the V380 Pro app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
- Waterproof Integrity: Periodically inspect the camera's casing and cable connections for any signs of damage that might compromise its IP66 waterproof rating.
8. Troubleshooting
- Camera not connecting to network:
- WiFi Version: Ensure your WiFi is 2.4GHz and the camera is within range. Check WiFi password.
- 4G Version: Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted, has an active data plan, and is compatible with the camera's supported frequency bands in your region.
- Try resetting the camera using the reset button (refer to Figure 5.2).
- Poor video quality:
- Check your internet connection speed.
- Clean the camera lenses.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera's field of view.
- Battery not charging:
- Ensure the solar panel is receiving direct sunlight.
- Check the connection between the solar panel and the camera.
- Clean the solar panel surface.
- False alarms:
- Adjust the PIR sensitivity settings in the app.
- Define specific activity alarm areas to exclude irrelevant zones.
9. User Tips
- For optimal solar charging, mount the solar panel facing south (in the Northern Hemisphere) or north (in the Southern Hemisphere) at an angle that maximizes sun exposure throughout the day.
- Utilize the preset point feature in the V380 Pro app to quickly switch between frequently monitored areas, saving time and effort.
- Experiment with the different recording modes (Low-Power, Adaptive Power, Battery Saving) to find the best balance between surveillance coverage and battery longevity for your specific needs.
- Regularly check the app for notifications and review recorded events to stay informed about your property's security.
