Introduction
The R36T MAX is an upgraded portable retro video game console designed to combine classic aesthetics with modern gaming technology. It features a 4.0-inch high-definition IPS display, a powerful RK3326 chip, and runs on the EmuELEC system, offering a smooth and immersive gaming experience. With built-in Wi-Fi and support for over 27 emulators, it provides access to a vast library of over 20,000 games, including 2D and some 3D titles.

Package Contents
Before you begin, please ensure all items are present in the package:

Setup
1. Initial Charging
Upon receiving your R36T MAX, it is recommended to fully charge the device before first use. Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the DC Charging Port on the console and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included, MAX 5V 2A recommended).
2. TF Card Insertion
The game console comes with a pre-installed TF card containing the EmuELEC system and game library. If you need to insert or replace the TF card, locate the TF1-OS slot on the device and gently insert the card until it clicks into place.
Operating Instructions
1. Device Layout and Controls
Familiarize yourself with the buttons and ports on your R36T MAX console:

- Power Button: Located on the top right side. Press and hold to power on/off.
- Reset Button: Small button on the top right, used for system reset.
- Volume Keys (+/-): Located on the left side for adjusting audio output.
- FN Button: Function button, typically used in combination with other buttons for shortcuts.
- Directional Pad (D-Pad): For menu navigation and in-game movement.
- Select Button: Used for selections in menus.
- Start Button: Used to start games or confirm selections.
- A/B/X/Y Buttons: Standard action buttons for gameplay.
- Left/Right Rockers (Analog Sticks): For precise control in games.
- L1/L2/R1/R2 Buttons: Shoulder buttons for additional in-game actions.
- TF1-OS Slot: For the system and game TF card.
- AUX Audio Hole: 3.5mm jack for headphones.
- DC Charging Port: Type-C port for charging the device.
- OTG Wireless Port: For connecting external peripherals, such as wireless controllers.
2. Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button until the screen illuminates.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button, then follow the on-screen prompts to shut down.
- To Reset: Use a small pin to press the Reset button if the device becomes unresponsive.
3. Navigating the EmuELEC System
The R36T MAX runs on the EmuELEC system, providing a user-friendly interface for game selection and system settings. Use the D-Pad and A/B/X/Y buttons to navigate through menus and select options.

The "Application Center" supports Wi-Fi downloads for multiple emulator formats, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of classic games.
4. Playing Games
The console comes pre-loaded with over 20,000 games across various emulators. Navigate to your desired emulator or game from the main menu and press the 'Start' or 'A' button to launch.
Supported emulators include: AMSTRADCPC, ATARI2600, CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, DREAMCAST, FAMICOM, GAMEGEAR, GB, GBA, GBC, MAME, MEGADRIVE, N64, NDS, NEOGEO, NES, NGP, PCENGINE, PSP, PSX, SFC, SG-1000, SNES.
5. Wi-Fi Multiplayer
The R36T MAX supports local Wi-Fi multiplayer, allowing you to connect with friends for exciting battles without additional dongles.

- Step 1: Connect to the Same Wi-Fi
- Both players must connect their consoles to the same Wi-Fi network.
- From the main menu, go to: START → MAIN MENU → Network Settings → Connect to the SAME Wi-Fi.
- Critical: Use identical Wi-Fi (e.g., "Home Network").
- Note your Host Player's IP address once connected.
- Step 2: Launch the Same Game
- Launch the exact same game on both devices.
- Press 'Select + X' simultaneously to open the RetroArch menu.
- Step 3: Connecting a Game Console
- Player 1 (Host): Navigate to: Netplay → Host → Start Netplay Host.
- Player 2 (Client): Go to: Netplay → Connect to Netplay Host. Manually enter Player 1's IP address, then press 'X' to connect.
- Step 4: Fight!
- Once screens sync, Player 1 (Host) selects "Multiplayer Mode".
- Player 1's controller will be the "Main Control Handle" by default.
Note: For multiplayer games with 2 or more players, all devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi Network. Prioritize the setting to find the "Host" as the main control of the game console to start the Network game console and use it as the "Main Control Handle".
6. Display and Lighting Effects
The 4.0-inch IPS Full HD Color Screen offers vibrant visuals with a 720x720 resolution. The console also features RGB colorful light rings around the joysticks with 6 adjustable light effects:

You can customize colors and brightness through the system settings.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the console's exterior. Avoid liquid cleaners.
- Screen Care: Apply the provided gift screen protector to prevent scratches. Clean the screen with a microfiber cloth.
- Battery: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the device regularly, especially if storing it for extended periods.
- Storage: Store the console in the provided storage box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- Device not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the Type-C charger and try again. If unresponsive, press the Reset button.
- Games not loading or freezing: Ensure the TF card is properly inserted. Try restarting the console. If the issue persists, the game file might be corrupted or incompatible.
- Wi-Fi connection issues: Verify your Wi-Fi network is active and you have entered the correct password. Ensure both consoles are on the same network for multiplayer.
- Controller input issues: Check if any buttons are stuck. If using external controllers via OTG, ensure they are properly connected and compatible.
- Screen display problems: If the screen is dim or colors are off, check the display settings for brightness and color adjustment.
