5. Maintenance

  • 5.1. Cleaning

Wipe the screen and monitor body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the display or casing.

  • 5.2. Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the monitor frequently. Store the monitor in a cool, dry place when not in use, and charge it periodically if stored for extended periods.

  • 5.3. SD Card Management

Regularly back up important recordings from your SD card. Format the SD card periodically through the monitor's menu to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption.

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Signal / Blue Screen / Black Screen

The Little Pilot 4 is designed to avoid blue or black screens. If you experience no signal, ensure your FPV transmitter is powered on and operating on a compatible 5.8GHz frequency. Perform an auto-scan on the monitor to find the correct channel. Check antenna connections on both the monitor and your FPV receiver.

  • Poor Display/Record Quality

Ensure your FPV camera is set to NTSC format for better display and recording quality on the monitor. Check for interference from other 5.8GHz devices or obstacles between your transmitter and receiver.

  • DVR Not Recording

Verify that a compatible Class 10 (C10) SD card (8-32GB) is correctly inserted. Check if the SD card is full and needs to be formatted or replaced. Ensure the recording function is activated in the monitor's menu.

8. User Tips

  • For the best FPV experience, always ensure your FPV camera's video output format (PAL/NTSC) matches the monitor's setting.
  • When flying, try to maintain a clear line of sight between your FPV transmitter and the monitor's antennas to minimize signal loss.
  • Consider using a sun shade (if available or custom-made) for better visibility in bright outdoor conditions, despite the monitor's high brightness.
  • Always power off the monitor when not in use to conserve battery life.
  • Experiment with different antenna types (e.g., directional vs. omnidirectional) to find the best setup for your specific flying environment and range requirements.
