1. Introduction

The WST BM600 Pro is a 6-inch portable digital motorcycle dashboard designed to integrate wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionalities into your BMW motorcycle. This system provides navigation, communication, and entertainment features, enhancing your riding experience with convenience and safety. It features a high-brightness IPS touch screen, IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, and compatibility with native BMW Wonder Wheel controls.

2. Safety Information

  • Always prioritize road safety. Do not operate the device in a manner that distracts you from riding.
  • Ensure the device is securely mounted before riding.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the device. This may void the warranty and pose safety risks.
  • Keep the device away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight for prolonged periods when not in use.
  • Clean the screen with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals.

5. Setup

5.1. Installation

The WST BM600 Pro is designed for plug-and-play installation on BMW motorcycles equipped with a 4-pin connector and an original BMW navigation base. Third-party mounts are not compatible with the Wonder Wheel Control feature.

  1. Ensure your BMW motorcycle has an original BMW navigation base.
  2. Align the WST BM600 Pro device with the original BMW navigation base.
  3. Slide the device into the base until it clicks securely into place.
  4. Verify the connection is stable and the device is firmly mounted.

5.2. Initial Power On

Once installed, the device should power on automatically with the motorcycle's ignition. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection.

5.3. Bluetooth Pairing (Device to Phone & Helmet/Earphone)

To enable CarPlay or Android Auto, you must first pair your smartphone to the BM600 Pro via Bluetooth. For audio output, the BM600 Pro then connects to your Bluetooth helmet or earphones.

  1. Ensure your Bluetooth helmet or earphone is turned on and in an active pairing state.
  2. On the BM600 Pro, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Search for available devices and select your smartphone to pair.
  4. Once your smartphone is paired, search for and select your Bluetooth helmet or earphone to pair.
  5. Important: Do not connect your mobile phone directly to your Bluetooth helmet or earphone, as this may interfere with the pairing process with the BM600 Pro.

5.4. Wireless CarPlay Connection

Requirements: iPhone running iOS 6 or above. CarPlay system and iPhone's voice system (Siri) must be turned on.

  1. On the BM600 Pro, open the CarPlay application.
  2. On your iPhone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for the device (e.g., "F97BMW-95115648").
  3. Select the device and click "Pair" on your iPhone.
  4. A prompt will appear on your iPhone; click "Allow" to grant permissions.
  5. The connection is successful when CarPlay appears on the BM600 Pro screen.

5.5. Wireless Android Auto Connection

Requirements: Phone running Android 11 or above, supporting 5GHz Wi-Fi. Ensure the Android Auto app is updated to the latest version.

  1. On the BM600 Pro, open the Android Auto application.
  2. On your Android phone, go to Bluetooth settings and find connected devices.
  3. Add a new device (e.g., "F97BMW-95115648") and click "Pair".
  4. Follow any on-screen prompts on your phone to complete the connection.
  5. The connection is successful when Android Auto appears on the BM600 Pro screen.

Incompatible Android Phone Models:

Some Samsung Note and S series phones may not be perfectly compatible. Please verify your phone supports wireless CarPlay or Android Auto before purchase. 6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Native Wonder Wheel Control

The WST BM600 Pro is designed to work seamlessly with your BMW's native Wonder Wheel. This allows you to control various functions of the device, including audio and display settings, without taking your hands off the handlebars.

  • Use the Wonder Wheel to navigate menus, adjust volume, and select options within CarPlay or Android Auto.
  • The 12-pin connector ensures stable signal transmission for real-time data display.

6.2. Voice Control (Siri / Google Assistant)

Once connected via CarPlay or Android Auto, you can use voice commands to control your smartphone's features, keeping your hands free and focus on the road.

  • Activate Siri (for CarPlay) or Google Assistant (for Android Auto) using the designated voice command or button on your motorcycle.
  • Examples: "Hey Siri, call Jenny.", "OK Google, take me home.", "Hey Siri, play music."

6.3. Navigation

Access your preferred navigation apps (e.g., Apple Maps, Waze, HERE maps, Baidu Map) directly on the BM600 Pro screen through CarPlay or Android Auto.

  • Use voice commands or the touch screen to set destinations and follow routes.
  • The high-brightness display ensures clear visibility of maps even in direct sunlight.

6.4. Media Playback & Calls

Stream music, podcasts, and audiobooks, and manage phone calls directly from the device.

  • Audio will be routed through your paired Bluetooth helmet or earphones.
  • Use the touch screen or Wonder Wheel for playback controls and call management.

6.5. Light Sensor

The integrated light sensor automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on ambient light conditions, ensuring optimal visibility during both day and night riding.

6.6. BMW Internal Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

The BM600 Pro can display tire pressure data if your BMW motorcycle has a pre-installed TPMS system. This feature will not work if your motorcycle does not have a TPMS system.

6.7. Riding Data Display

Monitor various riding data directly on the BM600 Pro screen, including:

  • Motorcycle Engine RPM Display
  • Lean Angle
  • Motorcycle Battery Voltage
  • Hand & Foot Brake Prompt
  • Motorcycle Front & Rear Tire Pressure Value (if TPMS is present)

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the screen and exterior. Avoid abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.
  • Storage: If storing the motorcycle for an extended period, ensure the device is clean and dry. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Device not powering on: Ensure the device is correctly installed on the original BMW navigation base and the motorcycle's ignition is on. Check the 4-pin connector for secure fit.
  • CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting:
    • Verify your smartphone meets the minimum OS requirements (iOS 6+ for CarPlay, Android 11+ for Android Auto).
    • Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (5GHz for Android Auto) are enabled.
    • Confirm that your phone is not directly connected to your helmet/earphones via Bluetooth.
    • Restart both the BM600 Pro and your smartphone, then attempt pairing again.
    • Check the list of incompatible Android phone models (Section 5.5).
  • No audio output: Ensure your Bluetooth helmet or earphones are properly paired to the BM600 Pro and are powered on. Check volume levels on both the device and your helmet/earphones.
  • Wonder Wheel Control not working: Ensure the device is mounted on an original BMW bracket. Third-party mounts are not compatible with this feature.
  • TPMS data not displayed: This feature requires your BMW motorcycle to have a factory-installed TPMS system. If your bike does not have one, this function will not work.
  • Screen visibility issues: The device has an automatic light sensor. Ensure the sensor is not obstructed. The 1000 Nit brightness and AF/AG screen processing are designed for clear visibility in various conditions.

9. User Tips

  • Optimal Voice Control: For best results with Siri or Google Assistant, ensure your helmet's microphone is positioned correctly and minimize wind noise.
  • Map Updates: Keep your smartphone's navigation apps updated to ensure you have the latest map data and features.
  • Weather Resilience: While IP67 rated, it's good practice to wipe down the screen after riding in heavy rain to maintain clarity and prevent water spots.
  • Screen Responsiveness: The capacitive touch screen works well even with light gloves. For thicker winter gloves, ensure they are touch-screen compatible.
