6.1 Measurement Modes

Press the mode button (often depicted with multiple squares or a house icon) to cycle through the following modes:

  • Single Measurement: Measures the direct distance between two points.
  • Continuous Measurement: Provides real-time distance updates as you move the device. Useful for finding minimum/maximum distances.
  • Area Measurement: Calculates the area of a rectangular space by measuring two sides.
  • Volume Measurement: Calculates the volume of a space by measuring three dimensions (length, width, height).
  • Wall Area Measurement: Calculates the total area of multiple walls by measuring their combined length and a common height.
  • Pythagorean-1 Measurement: Calculates an unknown side of a right-angled triangle from two known sides (e.g., height from base and hypotenuse).
  • Pythagorean-2 Measurement: Calculates an unknown side using two measurements to form two right-angled triangles.
  • Pythagorean-3 Measurement: Calculates an unknown side using three measurements to form multiple right-angled triangles.
  • Addition/Subtraction Measurement: Allows adding or subtracting consecutive measurements.
