7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device fails to start or reboots repeatedly | Loose power cable connections; incorrect voltage; red wire connected directly to battery positive. | Ensure all cables are securely tightened. Verify the power supply is 12V. Ensure the red wire is connected to the ACC position of the ignition switch, not directly to the battery positive. |
| Screen locked during CarPlay/Android Auto pairing | A pairing code is required to proceed. | Enter the correct pairing code displayed on the screen into your smartphone. |
| DVR recording issues or TF card not recognized | Incompatible or faulty TF card; TF card inserted/removed while powered on. | Use a trusted brand (Samsung, Kingston, Sandisk) Class 10 Micro SD card (max 64GB). Always power off the device before handling the TF card. Ensure the TF card slot cover is properly unscrewed if necessary. |
| Poor screen visibility in bright sunlight | While the screen has 800 nits brightness, extreme direct sunlight can still affect visibility. | Adjust the screen angle if possible. The high brightness is designed to mitigate this, but direct glare can still be challenging. |
8. User Tips
- Regular Checks: Periodically check all cable connections for tightness, especially after long rides or maintenance, to prevent unexpected power issues.
- Software Updates: Keep an eye on the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- SD Card Quality: Investing in a high-quality, reputable brand for your TF card is crucial for reliable DVR recording and data integrity.
- Voice Commands: Utilize voice commands (Siri for CarPlay, Google Assistant for Android Auto) for navigation, music control, and calls to minimize distractions while riding.
