2. Setup and Installation

The SRNE SPI 4-6.5K-UP inverter is designed for easy installation. Ensure all safety precautions are followed before beginning installation.

2.1 Unpacking and Inspection

Upon receiving your inverter, carefully unpack it and inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all components listed in the packing list are present.

2.2 Mounting the Inverter

Choose a suitable location for mounting the inverter. The location should be well-ventilated, protected from direct sunlight and moisture, and allow for sufficient clearance around the unit for cooling. The inverter has an IP65 protection rating, but it is recommended for indoor use or protected outdoor environments.

2.3 Electrical Connections

All electrical connections should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations.

  1. Battery Connection: Connect the 48 VDC battery bank (Lithium-ion, Lead-acid, or Gel) to the BAT terminals. Ensure correct polarity. The inverter supports Li-ion battery BMS communication.
  2. PV Input Connection: Connect your solar PV array to the PV input terminals. The inverter features dual MPPT trackers. Ensure the PV array voltage and current are within the specified limits (Max. Open Circuit Voltage 550Vdc+550Vdc, MPPT Voltage Range 150-450Vdc).
  3. AC Output (LOAD) Connection: Connect your household loads to the LOAD terminals. The inverter provides 120/240Vac single-phase/split-phase output.
  4. Grid Connection (if applicable): Connect to the utility grid at the GRID terminals.
  5. Generator Connection (if applicable): Connect a generator to the GEN terminals for backup power.
  6. Communication Interfaces: Utilize the embedded RS485/CAN/USB/dry contact interfaces for monitoring and control. Optional Wi-Fi/GPRS modules are available for external communication.

2.4 Parallel Connection

3. Operating Instructions
