2. Setup Guide
2.1 Powering the Devices
- Weather Clock (Indoor Display): Insert 2 LR6 AA batteries (for backup) and connect the USB power cord to a DC 5V600mA power source. The weather station requires continuous power via the USB cord to update data and maintain network connectivity.
- Wireless Outdoor Sensor: Insert 3 LR6 AA batteries (not included) into the outdoor sensor. Ensure batteries are correctly oriented.
2.2 Outdoor Sensor Installation
The outdoor sensor is designed for flexible installation to ensure accurate readings and optimal wireless transmission.
- Location: Choose an open area, away from obstructions like buildings or large trees, to ensure accurate wind, rain, and light readings. The transmission range is up to 100 meters (300 feet) in an open area.
- Mounting Options: The emitter can be bound to a cylinder (e.g., a pole) using the provided accessories or fixed directly to the ground. Ensure it is level for accurate rainfall measurement.

3.3 Alarm Clock
The weather station includes a dual alarm clock with a snooze function. The snooze duration can be set to 'off' or between 5-60 minutes.
3.4 App Features
Through the Tuya app, you can:
- View real-time and historical data for all monitored parameters.
- Set local sunrise and sunset times.
- Receive alerts for specific weather conditions or parameter thresholds.
- Manage device settings and preferences remotely.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the indoor display unit with a soft, dry cloth. For the outdoor sensor, periodically clean any debris (leaves, dirt) from the rain collector and wind sensors to ensure accurate readings.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor when indicated by the indoor display or app. Ensure to use the correct battery type (LR6 AA).
- Outdoor Sensor Durability: The outdoor sensor is IPEX4 waterproof, meaning it is protected against splashing water. However, avoid submerging it or exposing it to extreme weather conditions beyond its operating limits.
- Firmware Updates: Check the Tuya app periodically for any available firmware updates for your weather station to ensure optimal performance and new features.
5. Troubleshooting
- No Data on Display / App:
- Ensure both the indoor display and outdoor sensor have power (batteries and/or USB power).
- Check the wireless connection between the outdoor sensor and the indoor display. Ensure they are within the 100m transmission range and there are no significant obstructions.
- Verify the indoor display is connected to your WiFi network via the Tuya app.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Temperature/Humidity: Ensure the outdoor sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources. For indoor readings, ensure the display unit is not near windows, vents, or appliances that generate heat/cold.
- Rainfall: Check the rain collector on the outdoor sensor for any blockages.
- Wind Speed/Direction: Ensure the wind cups and vane on the outdoor sensor are spinning freely and are not obstructed.
- App Connectivity Issues:
- Ensure your smartphone has a stable internet connection.
- Restart the Tuya app.
- If issues persist, try re-pairing the weather station with the Tuya app.
