Setup

Unpacking

Carefully unpack the battery and inspect it for any signs of damage. Ensure all components listed in the packaging are present. Keep the original packaging for future transport or storage.

Installation

The Humsienk 48V 100Ah battery is designed for both floor stand and wall-mounted installations. Wall mounting can save up to 30% space compared to equivalent four 12V100Ah batteries connected in series. The battery dimensions are 520x470x141.5mm (20.47x18.5x5.57 inches) and it weighs 47.2kg (104.05lb).

For wall mounting, ensure the mounting surface is strong enough to support the battery's weight. Follow local electrical codes and safety guidelines for installation.

Parallel Connection

The battery supports connecting up to 15 units in parallel to achieve higher energy and load power. When connecting multiple batteries in parallel, ensure all batteries are of the same model and state of charge before connection. Consult a qualified electrician for complex parallel configurations.

Operating Instructions

Charging

The battery can be charged using various methods, including solar panels, dedicated LiFePO4 chargers, and generators. A typical charge time of two hours can provide continuous power for a full day, depending on load. Ensure the charging voltage and current are within the specified limits (Charge Voltage: 56.16Vdc, Nominal Charge Current: 50A, Max Charge Current: 100A).

Discharging

The battery provides a nominal discharge current of 50A and a maximum continuous discharge current of 100A, with a maximum discharge power of 5120W. The discharge voltage is 44.8Vdc.

Monitoring

Your Humsienk battery offers three ways to monitor its status, whether on-grid or off-grid:

  1. LED Indicator: Provides quick visual status updates.
  2. Computer: Connect to a computer for detailed monitoring.
  3. Mobile App (BMS Meta): Utilize the Bluetooth-compatible mobile application for convenient remote monitoring of battery parameters.

Maintenance

Temperature Management

The battery is designed for all-weather toughness, operating efficiently in a wide temperature range. It can discharge in conditions as low as -20℃ (-4℉) and as high as 60℃ (140℉). For charging, the optimal temperature range is 0℃ to 55℃ (32℉ to 131℉). The recommended usage environment is indoor or under eaves, avoiding direct sunlight.

Environmental Protection

The battery features a metal shell with an IP65 rating, making it waterproof and dustproof. This robust construction ensures durability and protection against environmental elements. The operating/storage humidity should be ≀95%RH, and the maximum operating altitude is ≀2000m.

With EV Grade A+ LiFePO4 cells, the battery boasts a cycle life of 6000 cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge (DOD), 25Β°C, and 0.5C charge/discharge rate, with 60% End of Life (EOL). This translates to a lifespan of 10+ years under typical usage conditions.

Troubleshooting

Battery Management System (BMS)

The integrated 100A BMS provides comprehensive protection features to ensure safe operation and prolong battery life. These protections include:
