1. Product Overview

2. Setup and First Use

Getting to Know Your Smart X3

Battery Charging

The Smart X3 has a built-in lithium-ion battery. Before first use, please fully charge the device using the included Type-C charging cable or any compatible Type-C cable.

• Gimbal Battery Indicator:
  • Green Light Steady: Battery at 30%-100%
  • Red Light Steady: Battery below 30%
• Charging Explanation:
  • Gimbal Charging: Red Light Flashing
  • Gimbal Fully Charged: Green Light Steady

Note: To ensure battery safety and performance, the device is shipped in a partially charged state. If the device remains in storage mode after powering on, it will automatically shut down after 5 minutes to save power.

Quick Start Guide

1. Unfold the Arm Pole: Hold the device with both hands and pull up directly to unfold the arm pole.



2. Open the Tripod: Press the bottom of the device to open the tripod and place the device on a level surface.



3. Shape the Device: Shape the device into a '7' form, with the phone clamp buckle on top.



4. Secure the Phone: Pull open the phone clamp to secure your smartphone, then push the phone left and right to roughly center it.



5. Power On & Recenter: Long press the power button to turn on the gimbal. Double-click the power button to quickly recenter the phone.



6. Connect Bluetooth: Turn on your phone's Bluetooth and connect to "Smart_X3". The gimbal is now ready to use.

3. Operating Instructions

Gimbal Modes Explanation

The Smart X3 features a three-axis anti-shake design with different operating states for the roll, tilt, and pan axis motors to achieve professional shooting effects. All three axes can rotate during use, which is normal.

• PF Mode (Pan Follow): The stabilizer's pan axis is movable, while the tilt and roll axes are locked. The phone follows when turning the handle left or right. Suitable for horizontal left-right panning shots.



• F Mode (Full Follow): The stabilizer's pan and tilt axes are movable, with the roll axis locked. The phone follows when turning the handle left/right or up/down. Suitable for left-right panning, upward, and downward shots.



• L Mode (Lock Mode): All three axes of the stabilizer are locked. Suitable for shooting push-pull movements or translation follow shots.



• POV Mode (Point of View): All three axes of the stabilizer are unlocked. The phone follows when rotating the stabilizer handle 360° (including left/right, up/down, or any tilt angle). Suitable for any angle movements.



• DM Mode (Dream Mode): Upon entering DM mode, the phone automatically rotates 180 degrees and recenters. Suitable for shooting cool Inception movie effects.



• S Mode (Sport Mode): Similar movement direction as F mode, but with stronger motor force. Suitable for shooting fast transition movements.

Remote Control Functions

To use the remote control, slide the bottom power switch to ON. The remote enters default standby mode. Long press the shooting button for 3 seconds to power on the remote, which also turns on the gimbal. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings, search for and connect to "SMART_X3". A steady Bluetooth indicator on the remote signifies a successful connection.

  • 30%-100%: Green Light Steady

Important Notes for Remote Control:
* When using the joystick/M button to adjust the device's angle, please disable the AI tracking function first.
* If the remote control is not used for an extended period, slide the power switch to the OFF position to conserve power.
* After the remote control is powered on and connected to the gimbal, it will automatically enter sleep mode after 20 minutes of no button activity. To wake it up, simply power it on again.
* If the remote control is powered on but not connected to the gimbal and has no button activity for 10 minutes, it will automatically enter sleep mode. To wake it up, simply power it on again.

Device Usage States

• Default State: After installing the phone and connecting Bluetooth, hold the handle to perform anti-shake shooting. Double-click the shooting button to switch between horizontal/vertical screen.



• Extended State: Pull the built-in extension pole upward, then bend it to a suitable angle for extended shooting. Ideal for high-angle selfies or low-angle shots.



• Desktop State: Press the bottom of the device to open the storage tripod and stand it on a desktop for stable shooting.



• Ground State: For outdoor ground use, you can additionally purchase a floor tripod with a 1/4 screw hole to meet more scenario needs.

APP Introduction

The AOCHUAN Smart X3 supports shooting with your phone's native camera, but for enhanced features and creative controls, it is recommended to use the official AOCHUAN APP.

Scan the QR code below or search for "AOCHUAN" in your phone's app store (available for both Android and iOS).

Connect the APP

1. After installing your phone, long press the stabilizer power button to turn it on.
2. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
3. Open the AOCHUAN APP. The software will automatically search for the device's Bluetooth and connect according to the prompts.
4. A lit Bluetooth icon on the stabilizer indicates a successful connection. All APP functions can then be used.

4. Maintenance and Storage

Stabilizer Storage

The Smart X3 features a foldable design for convenient storage and portability. Follow these steps to properly fold and store your device:

1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Fully retract the extension pole and tripod.
3. Hold the device and adjust the stabilizer to the state shown in the figure, ensuring Buckle 1 is properly fastened.
4. Fold the gimbal downward, ensuring Buckle 2 is properly inserted into the storage slot to complete storage.

5. Troubleshooting

• Gimbal not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Check the battery indicator lights.
• Gimbal not stabilizing/balancing: Ensure the phone is securely clamped and centered. Recalibrate the gimbal if necessary (refer to APP instructions).
• Remote control not connecting: Ensure the remote's power switch is ON. Long press the shooting button for 3 seconds to activate. Check phone's Bluetooth settings and ensure "Smart_X3" is selected.
• APP connection issues: Ensure the gimbal is powered on and your phone's Bluetooth is active. Close and reopen the AOCHUAN APP, then try connecting again.
• AI tracking not working: Ensure the AI tracking module is properly attached and enabled via the AI button on the remote. Disable AI tracking if using the joystick/M button for manual angle adjustment.
