5. Getting Started
5.1. Charging the Device
The product uses a polymer lithium battery, which is rechargeable. Check the battery level after startup. Charge promptly if low; the device will automatically shut down when battery is critically low.
- Adapter Charging: Connect the adapter to a power source, then link the USB cable to the device's Type-C port. Full charge in 2-3 hours (use a 5VDC/1A CCC-certified adapter).
- PC USB Charging: Connect to a computer's USB port (slower than adapter charging). For faster charging, power off the device during PC charging.
- Note: Slight heating of the charger and device during charging is normal. Disconnect from the power source after charging is complete; do not leave it plugged in for extended periods.
5.2. Transferring Files
To transfer music or e-book files to your device:
- Connect the Famue BF01 to your computer using the provided Type-C USB cable.
- The device will appear as a removable disk on your computer.
- Drag and drop your desired MP3 files into the "Music" folder and TXT e-book files into the "E-Book" folder on the device.
- Safely eject the device from your computer once transfer is complete.

5.3. Inserting TF Card
The device supports TF card expansion up to 128GB (FAT32 format). Locate the TF Card Slot (No. 4 in the button descriptions) on the side of the device and gently insert your TF card until it clicks into place.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off & Screen Lock
- Power On/Off: Long press the Power Button (No. 3) for 3 seconds to turn the device on/off. The player will automatically shut down after the user-set idle time (this function is disabled when connected to a PC or charging).
- Screen Lock/Unlock: Short press the Power Button (No. 3) to turn the screen off/on when the device is on.
6.2. Home Key
Press the Home Touch Key (No. 10) to return to the main interface from any application.
6.3. Music Playback
From the main menu, select the "Music" icon to start playback. The device supports various audio formats and offers different playback modes.
Playback Mode Settings
- All Songs: Play all songs in the "Music" folder. You can manually select a song or use random playback.
- Artists: Categorize songs by artist name (exact matching required).
- Albums: Categorize songs by album name.
- Favorites: Tap the heart icon during playback to add the song to your favorites.
- Update Playlist: Use this feature if songs from a new TF card or newly copied files are not found. In the playback interface, tap the three-dot icon in the upper right corner for "Delete" and "Equalizer" options.
- Playback Modes: 4 modes – "All Repeat," "Random Play," "Sequential Play," "Single Repeat."
- Equalizer: 8 options: Off (default), Rock, Funk, Hip-hop, Jazz, Classical, Electronic.
- Variable Speed Play: Tap the "X" icon in the playback interface to adjust speed (supports MP3 format, range: -3 to +3).
- A-B Repeat: Press the "A-B" key during playback to repeat a specific segment. First press marks the start (B disappears), second press marks the end (A disappears), and the segment loops.
- Single Delete: Delete the currently playing song.
6.4. E-Book Reader
Transfer TXT-format e-books to the "E-Book" folder via computer. Select the "E-Book" icon from the main menu for reading.
- Auto-Page Turn: Tap the play icon; set interval in the three-dot menu (upper right).
- Page Jump: Enter page number and confirm.
- Bookmarks: Add/delete bookmarks; long-press to manage saved positions.
- Navigation: Tap left/right sides of the screen to turn pages backward/forward.
6.5. Recording
Select the "Recording" icon from the main menu. Tap the three-dot icon for settings:
- Recording Format: Choose between MP3 and WAV.
