5. Installation Guide

The AUTOTOP Digital Gauge Cluster is designed for a Plug & Play installation. While the process is generally straightforward, professional installation is recommended to ensure proper functionality and avoid damage to your vehicle's electrical system.

5.1. Before You Begin

  • Ensure your vehicle is turned off and the ignition key is removed.
  • Disconnect the vehicle's battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Gather necessary tools, including the provided specialized screw wrenches.

5.2. Installation Steps (General)

  1. Carefully remove the original instrument cluster from your Mercedes Benz E Class W212. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions on dashboard trim removal.
  2. Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the back of the original cluster.
  3. Connect the vehicle's wiring harnesses to the corresponding ports on the new AUTOTOP Digital Gauge Cluster. Ensure all connections are secure.
  4. Position the new digital gauge cluster into the dashboard opening.
  5. Secure the cluster using the specialized screw wrenches and any other necessary fasteners.
  6. Reinstall any removed dashboard trim pieces.
  7. Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
