4. Installation and Setup

4.1 Physical Installation

The VENBES Car Radio is designed to fit standard Double DIN slots (178×100mm). Ensure your vehicle has a compatible slot. Professional installation is recommended.

4.2 Wiring Diagram

4.3 GPS Antenna Installation

Connect the GPS antenna to the designated port on the back of the head unit. Position the antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky, typically on the dashboard or under the windshield, to ensure optimal signal reception for navigation.

4.4 Reversing Camera Installation (Optional)

If you have an optional reversing camera, connect its video output to the 'Reversing video input' port on the head unit. Ensure the camera's power is connected correctly, often triggered by the vehicle's reverse gear signal. This enables automatic display switching when reversing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Navigation

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually on the left side of the unit) to turn the device on or off.
  • Volume Control: Use the physical buttons or on-screen controls to adjust volume.
  • Home Screen: Tap the home icon to return to the main Android interface.
  • Back Button: Tap the back arrow icon to go back to the previous screen.

5.2 Android System and Google Play

Your car radio runs on Android OS, providing access to a wide range of applications. Connect to Wi-Fi to access the Google Play Market and download your favorite apps like Spotify, Google Maps, YouTube Music, and more.

5.3 CarPlay & Android Auto

Connect your iPhone or Android smartphone via USB to enable CarPlay or Android Auto. This allows you to safely access navigation, music, messages, and other apps directly from your car radio's display.

  • For iPhone: Connect your iPhone using a USB cable. CarPlay will launch automatically.
  • For Android Phone: Connect your Android phone using a USB cable. Android Auto will launch automatically.

5.4 GPS Navigation

5.6 FM Radio

5.8 Steering Wheel Control

If your vehicle supports it and you have connected the steering wheel control wires (KYE 1, KYE 2), you can program the buttons on your steering wheel to control the car radio functions, such as volume, track skipping, and mode switching.

5.9 MirrorLink

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the touchscreen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
