| APE | 1. Lossless formats generally have a compression ratio of around 50%. Encoded files are all VBR. The specific bitrate is not known until encoding is complete. Various decoders support various bitrates. The speed bottleneck is reading the data (device read speed). | 8k/11025/12k/16k/22050/24k/32k/44100/48k | 24-bit [decoded bitwidth] | Single/dual channel |
| FLAC | 2. APE decoding is supported. Fast, Normal, and High are supported. High mode is not supported. Encoding a High mode file using the Monkey's Audio compression tool can be tested. | 8k/11025/12k/16k/22050/24k/32k/44100/48k | 24-bit [decoded bitwidth] | Single/dual channel |
Note: Decoding lossless audio or high bitrate will be limited by the reading speed of the USB disk/TF card device.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your audio decoder module, follow these general maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the module in a clean, dry environment, away from dust and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the module to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the screen or casing. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the module to prevent overheating.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your audio decoder module, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the 5V DC power supply is correctly connected and within the specified voltage range (4.5-5.0V). Check all power connections.
- No Audio Output: Verify that audio cables are securely connected. If using an external amplifier, ensure it is powered on and correctly configured. Check volume levels on both the module and connected devices.
- Display Issues: Check cable connections to the display. If the screen is blank or flickering, ensure the power supply is stable.
- USB/TF Card Not Reading: Ensure the USB drive or TF card is formatted correctly and contains supported audio files. Check that the cables connecting the USB/TF card interface boards to the mainboard are not too long (max 20 cm) and are securely connected.
- Bluetooth Connection Problems: Ensure the module is in BT Mode and discoverable. Check that your Bluetooth device is within the 10-meter reception range and is not connected to another device.
- Unstable Operation: Ensure a regulated 5V power supply is used. Avoid using unstable power sources like 3.7V lithium batteries.
User Tips
- For optimal sound quality, experiment with the 7 preset EQ modes or create a custom EQ setting to match your speakers and personal listening preferences.
- When using USB drives or TF cards, ensure they are of good quality and speed to avoid limitations in decoding lossless or high-bitrate audio.
- If you plan to integrate this module into a custom audio project, carefully review the connection diagrams and precautions to ensure proper installation and avoid damage.
