5. Installation Guidelines
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your heater. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.
General Steps:
- Mounting: Select a suitable, stable location for the heater host. Use the provided Fixed Plate and Mounting Plate along with machine fixing accessories (screws, nuts, clips, clamps) to securely fasten the heater. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for air circulation and maintenance.
- Fuel System Connection: Install the 10L fuel tank in a safe and accessible location. Connect the fuel hose from the tank to the oil pump, and then from the oil pump to the heater. Use the oil filter and oil pump clip as directed. Ensure all fuel connections are tight and leak-free.
- Exhaust System: Connect the exhaust pipe to the heater's exhaust port. Route the exhaust pipe safely away from flammable materials and ensure it exits the vehicle/space without obstruction. Use the exhaust silencer and blowpipe clamp.
- Air Intake and Outlet: Connect the intake pipe to the heater's air intake and the air outlet pipe to the air outlet grille. Ensure these are clear of obstructions and positioned to distribute heat effectively.
- Electrical Wiring: Connect the wire harness to the heater and to a suitable 12V or 24V power source, ensuring correct polarity (Reverse Connection Protection is present, but correct wiring is always best practice). Connect the LCD switch and remote control receiver (if separate) to the wire harness.
- Initial Check: After installation, double-check all connections (fuel, exhaust, air, electrical) for security and integrity before first use.
Warning: Incorrect installation can lead to fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, or other hazards. Always follow local regulations and safety standards.
6. Operation
Your KROAK Diesel Air Heater can be controlled via the LCD panel or the included remote control.
Control Modes:

Figure 6: LCD panel and remote control for convenient operation.
- LCD Panel: The large LCD display provides real-time status, temperature, and time information. Use the rotary switch and buttons to adjust settings, set timers, and monitor the heater's performance. Temperature can be adjusted from 8°C to 36°C (46°F to 96.8°F).
- Remote Control: The remote control allows you to power the heater ON/OFF and adjust settings from a distance of up to 32 ft, enabling you to preheat your vehicle or space before entry.
Altitude Mode:
The heater features an altitude mode, allowing it to work efficiently at elevations up to 3000 m (9843 ft). This mode adjusts the fuel-air mixture to compensate for lower oxygen levels, ensuring stable combustion and consistent heating performance.

7. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your diesel air heater.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the heater and ensure the air intake and outlet grilles are free from dust and debris.
- Fuel Filter: Inspect and replace the fuel filter as needed to prevent contaminants from reaching the fuel pump and combustion chamber.
- Exhaust System: Check the exhaust pipe and silencer for any blockages, damage, or leaks. Ensure exhaust gases are safely expelled.
- Electrical Connections: Verify that all electrical connections are secure and free from corrosion.
- General Inspection: Regularly inspect all components for signs of wear or damage. Address any issues promptly.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your heater, consider the following general troubleshooting steps:
- Heater Not Starting: Check the power supply and ensure all electrical connections are secure. Verify there is sufficient fuel in the tank and the fuel line is not blocked.
- Insufficient Heat: Ensure the air intake and outlet are not obstructed. Check for proper fuel flow and verify the temperature settings.
- Unusual Noise: Inspect for loose components or obstructions in the fan or exhaust system.
- Error Codes: Refer to the LCD display for any error codes and consult the full user manual (if provided separately) for specific interpretations and solutions.
