4. Setup and Wiring

4.1 Extension Interface Overview

The controller features pluggable terminals for easy and secure connections.

4.2 Power Supply Connection

  • Connect a DC 12-24V power supply to the "Power supply DC12-24V" terminals.
  • Ensure correct polarity.

4.3 Stepper/Servo Motor Drive Connection

The controller provides 4 output signals (0V pulse drive, common anode 5V connection) for connecting to stepper or servo motor drives. These outputs can drive devices under 500mA.

  • Connect the PUL+ and PUL- terminals from the controller to the corresponding pulse input terminals on your motor drive.
  • Connect the DIR+ and DIR- terminals from the controller to the direction input terminals on your motor drive.
  • Connect the EN+ and EN- terminals (if used) for enable/disable functionality.

4.4 Limit Switch and Expansion Button Connections

The controller supports 4 limit switch inputs (X1, X2, X3, X4) and 3 expansion button interfaces.

  • NPN Normally Open Proximity Switch:
    • Connect the brown wire to the 24V position.
    • Connect the blue wire to the 0V position.
    • Connect the black wire to the limit interface terminals X1/X2/X3/X4.
  • Expansion Buttons: Connect external buttons to the designated expansion button interfaces (e.g., STOP, RUN).

4.5 Communication Interface

The controller supports Modbus protocol via serial port, Bluetooth, or 485 communication.

  • Connect your communication module (e.g., USB-to-serial adapter, Bluetooth module) to the 5V, TX, RX, GND pins on the communication interface.

  • FWD (Forward): Initiates forward rotation.
  • REV (Reverse): Initiates reverse rotation.
  • SET (Set/Exit): Enters/exits settings menus.

5.2 Motion Modes (20 Types)

    • Ensure the motor drive is correctly wired to the controller's output terminals (PUL, DIR, EN).
    • Check the motor drive's power supply and status indicators.

  • Communication Issues (PC/APP):
    • For PC control, ensure the correct serial port is selected and the baud rate matches the controller's settings.

  • Limit Switch Not Functioning:
    • Verify the limit switch wiring according to Figure 4.3.
    • Ensure the limit switch type (NPN normally open) is compatible and functioning correctly.
    • Check the controller's settings for limit switch configuration.
