5.2 Mortise Lock Selection
It is crucial to choose the correct mortise lock that suits your door. Please measure your existing mortise lock size and compare it with the available options. The lock supports various mortise sizes like 2585, 3585, 4085, etc. If you are replacing an existing lock and do not need a new mortise, you can select the 'No mortise' option and only replace the handle panels.

5.3 Hole Opening (Drilling Installation)
For new installations or if your existing door does not match the mortise, you will need to drill holes. Use the provided perforated template (35*85) as a guide. Ensure the holes are aligned with the lock and parallel to the door case for proper locking. The template is for reference only; actual opening should prevail.

5.4 Installing Lock Mortise
Following the diagram, install the lock cylinder with its connecting line into the cylinder bore. Do not make the 4P line in the door. Secure the cylinder with 4 flat countersunk head tapping screws. Then, install the mechanical lock with the key pore facing outwards and fix it with FM 5 * 65 Machine Screws. Test with the mechanical key to ensure it can open and close.

5.5 Installing Front and Back Lock Panels
Before installing the lock body, ensure the handle springs are in place and insert the handle square shafts into the lock cylinder. Note the opening directions: downwards for right-opening, upwards for left-opening. Connect the 3P line between the back body and the square shaft of the deadbolt, passing it through the cylinder pore. Fix the body with 4 pieces of FM 5 * 55 Machine Screws. Finally, load 4 AAA alkaline batteries and fix the back covers.

7. Maintenance
7.1 Battery Replacement
The lock is powered by 4 AAA alkaline dry batteries. When the battery voltage drops below 4.8V, the lock will issue a "Low battery, please replace the battery" voice prompt and the screen backlight will flash. Replace all four batteries promptly with new, high-quality alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable AA batteries.
7.2 Emergency Power Supply
If the batteries completely run out, you can use the backup mechanical keys to unlock the door. Alternatively, there is a USB emergency charging port (Type-C) on the front panel. Connect a power bank to this port to temporarily power the lock and unlock it.

7.3 Waterproof Care
The DQ06 lock has an IP65 waterproof rating, making it suitable for outdoor use. While it is designed to withstand wind and rain, avoid directly spraying high-pressure water onto the lock. Regularly wipe the lock surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and debris.

8. Troubleshooting
- Fingerprint Inaccuracy: If fingerprints are inaccurately recognized, especially for the elderly or children, try entering them from different angles during registration. Add multiple fingerprints or use other unlocking methods as backup.
- Low Battery: If the lock gives a low battery warning, replace the 4 AAA alkaline batteries immediately. If completely drained, use the mechanical key or the USB emergency charging port with a power bank.
- System Locked: If the lock is unresponsive after multiple incorrect entries (5 times), the system may be locked for 2 minutes. Wait for the timeout or use the TT Lock App to unlock.
- Lock Not Responding: Check battery levels. Ensure the lock is properly installed and all connections are secure. If using the app, ensure Bluetooth is enabled and the app is connected to the lock.
9. User Tips
- Fingerprint Registration: For optimal performance, especially for children or the elderly, register fingerprints from various angles to improve recognition accuracy. Consider registering multiple fingers as backups.
- Battery Life: The lock uses 4 AAA alkaline batteries, which typically last 4-6 months (1,500-2,000 unlocks). Always use high-quality alkaline batteries and avoid rechargeable ones. Replace batteries promptly when a low battery warning is issued.
- Smart Home Integration: To connect the lock to Wi-Fi for remote management (beyond Bluetooth range) or integrate with smart home platforms like Alexa or Google Assistant, an additional G2 gateway is required. Contact customer service for more information on purchasing the gateway.
- Door Thickness: The lock is suitable for doors 28-60mm thick. If your door falls outside this range, inform customer service or specify your door thickness when ordering to receive the appropriate screw kit.
- Remote Unlocking: You can generate temporary passcodes via the TT Lock App for remote unlocking, even without a Wi-Fi gateway. This is useful for granting temporary access to visitors.
