This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Metz QLED Smart LED Television. Please read all instructions carefully before use and retain this manual for future reference. This guide covers models 32MQF7030Z and 40MQF7000Z.
Your Metz QLED TV features advanced technologies such as QLED+ for vivid colors, HDR10 & HLG for high dynamic contrast, Dolby Audio & Wonder Sound for immersive audio, and Eye-Care for reduced eye strain. It also integrates Google TV for a personalized and connected viewing experience.
Important Safety Instructions
Always read and follow all safety and operating instructions before using this product. Keep these instructions for future reference. Heed all warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions.
- Water and Moisture: Do not use this apparatus near water or moisture (e.g., wet basement, swimming pool).
- Cleaning: Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
- Heat Sources: Do not install near any heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Polarized/Grounding Plug: Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding plug. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement.
- Power Cord Protection: Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and where they exit the apparatus. Ensure the power cord is not damaged before use.
- Attachments/Accessories: Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Stability: Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer. Use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Lightning/Unused Periods: Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods.
- Servicing: Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged (e.g., power supply cord/plug damaged, liquid spilled, objects fallen into, exposed to rain/moisture, abnormal operation, dropped).
- Electric Shock Risk: Do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless qualified.
- Confined Spaces: Do not install this equipment in a confined space (e.g., bookcase) and ensure well-ventilated conditions. Do not impede ventilation openings with items like newspapers, tablecloths, curtains.
- Electrical/Safety Information: Refer to the rear enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating.
- Rain/Moisture Exposure: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
- Liquid Objects: The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids (e.g., vases) shall be placed on it.
- Dust: Do not use the set near dusty places.
- Electrical Terminals: Terminals marked with the symbol "4" may carry sufficient voltage to cause electric shock. External wiring to these terminals requires installation by an instructed person or ready-made leads.
- Stand/Wall-Mount Installation: To prevent injury, securely install this apparatus on the table/wall according to instructions.
- Battery Replacement: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Battery Heat Exposure: Batteries (battery or battery pack) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
- Hearing Loss: Excessive sound pressure from earphones/headphones can cause hearing loss. Listen at safe, comfortable levels and for reduced durations.
- Disconnect Device: The appliance coupler is used as a disconnect device and shall remain readily operable.
- Power Cord Care: When not in use or during movement, tie up the power cord set to prevent abrasion. Ensure it is not damaged before reuse.
- Battery Disposal: Attention should be drawn to environmental aspects of battery disposal.
- Naked Flames: No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
- Class II Appliance: If the apparatus has the symbol □ in its rating label and the power cord has two pins, it is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance, designed not to require a safety connection to electrical earth.
- Coin/Button Cell Battery Warning: Do not ingest the battery. Chemical burn hazard. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. DO NOT OPEN.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of non-insulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back). No user serviceable parts inside. Refer to qualified service personnel.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

Setup
Unpacking and Initial Installation
Before proceeding, ensure you have at least two people for safe handling of the TV to prevent damage or injuries. Avoid pressing the screen during handling.
- Open the package carefully.
- Take out the TV from the package.
- Install the TV stands (see "Stand Installation" below).
- Connect the power cord to the TV and a power outlet.

Stand Installation
Step 1: Take out the TV and carefully place it (screen downward) on a stable and flat table with a soft cloth or cushion.
Step 2: Fix the stand bases to the TV by fastening the matching stand screws provided in the box. The bases may vary depending on the region or model.

Mounting on a Wall (Optional)
An optional wall mount can be used with your television. Consult with your local dealer to purchase the recommended wall mount bracket. Carefully attach the wall mount bracket at the rear of the TV. Install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. If you are attaching the TV to other building materials, please contact qualified personnel to install the wall mount. Detailed instructions will be included with the wall mount. Please use a wall mount bracket where the device is adequately secured to the wall with enough space to allow connectivity to external devices.
- To prevent product damages or personal injuries, please make sure that the TV screen is kept upright, or tilted upward or downward within the angle range of 0°~5° while mounting the TV onto the wall.
- In case of exceeding the above angle range (0°~5°) of tilting downward, please purchase the auxiliary accessories from the local dealer to mount the TV for safe installation and usage. Otherwise, it will not be covered by the warranty and the user should be liable for all consequences and responsibilities.

Terminal Connections
Before connecting external devices, ensure the TV power cord is disconnected to avoid product damage or personal injury. Terminal quantities and names may vary depending on the region or model.
- AV IN: Receives audio and video signals from external AV devices (e.g., DVD, camcorder, STB).
- ANTENNA IN: Connect a coaxial cable to receive signals from an antenna, cable, or satellite.
- USB: Connect a USB storage device.
- HDMI: Receives HD input signal from external HDMI devices.
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Use an optical cable to output your TV's audio signal to a compatible digital audio receiver.
- LAN: Wired network port for internet connection.
- HEADPHONE: Outputs TV sound to connected headphones. Speakers will be muted when headphones are plugged in.
- CI (Common Interface): CI card port. Note: The CI port should be covered by its plastic cover when not in use. Ensure the fire enclosure of connected equipment is made of non-combustible material or UL94 V-0 rated material.

Operating Instructions
Remote Control Functions
The remote control allows you to operate your TV from a distance. Its image, buttons, and functions may vary depending on the region or model. Due to software upgrades, functions are subject to change without notice.
- POWER (⑁): Turns the TV on or off.
- Working status: Short press to fastboot mode, long press to standby mode.
- Fastboot mode: Press to turn on TV quickly.
- Standby mode: Press to turn on TV normally.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Select channels directly or input numbers.
- INFO: Access the INFO interface.
- AD: Adjust audio settings (language, sound track, type) in DTV mode.
- SOURCE (⑂): Access the source menu.
- FAV: Access the list of favorite channels.
- TEXT: Access or exit the teletext menu.
- MEDIA (⑃): Access the media player.
- ACCOUNT (⑄): Sign in with your Google account.
- Dashboard (⑅): Access the dashboard of your Google TV.
- UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT: Navigate menus, select content, or change channels (UP/DOWN).
- OK: Confirm, enter, execute selected item, or access channel list.
- BACK (⑆): Return to upper-level content or exit current screen.
- GUIDE (⑇): Access Live TV or Electronic Program Guide.
- HOME (⑈): Access the home screen.
- Volume Up/Down (VOL +/-): Adjust sound volume.
- EXIT: Exit current operation.
- Fast Backward (⑉): Fast backward playback in media player.
- MUTE (⑊): Mute or restore TV sound.
- Fast Forward (): Fast forward playback in media player.
- Color Buttons (RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE): Execute prompt functions in specific modes.
- Application Buttons: Access specific applications quickly and directly (e.g., Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube).
- Daily Key (): Short press to start/setup shortcut function, long press to setup shortcut function.

TV Control Button
The TV has a physical control button, typically located on the TV itself.
- In standby mode: Press the TV control button to turn on the TV.
- In working status: Short press to call out the soft keyboard menu. Short press to move the cursor and select desired item. Long press to enter or execute the selected item.
Accessing the E-Manual
The E-Manual is built into your TV and can be displayed on the screen. To learn more about your TV features:
- Press the HOME button to access the home screen.
- Press the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and OK buttons to select and enter "E-Manual" in your applications list.
Note: The E-Manual may not be available depending on the region or model.
Maintenance
Precautions for Using Remote Control
- Point the remote control towards the remote sensor. Obstructions between the remote control and sensor will interfere with operation.
- Do not vibrate the remote control violently, splash liquid on it, or place it in high humidity.
- Avoid direct sunlight exposure to prevent deformation from heat.
- If the remote sensor is under direct sunlight or strong lighting, the remote control may not work. Change lighting, TV position, or operate closer to the sensor.
- For Bluetooth remote controls (if supplied), press BACK and HOME buttons together to open pairing mode. For other Bluetooth devices, refer to their manuals.
Precautions for Using Battery
Improper battery use can cause leakage. Follow these methods carefully:
- Observe battery polarity to avoid short circuits.
- Replace with new batteries when voltage is insufficient. Remove batteries if not using the remote control for a long time.
- Do not mix different types of batteries (e.g., Manganese and Alkaline).
- Do not put batteries into fire, charge, or decompose them.
- Dispose of batteries in compliance with environmental protection regulations.
- WARNING: Batteries (battery pack or installed batteries) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.
- WARNING: A battery should not be exposed to extremely low air pressure that may result in an explosion or the leakage of flammable liquid or gas.

Correct Disposal of this product: This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.
Troubleshooting
Before calling a service technician, please check the following table for possible causes and solutions.
General Problems
- Remote control does not work:
- Change batteries.
- Check if batteries are installed correctly.
- Check if main power is connected.
- Check for obstructions between remote sensor and remote control.
- Poor Signal: Usually caused by interference from electronic equipment or radio interference sources.
Picture & Sound Problems
- No picture, no sound:
- Check the signal source.
- Plug another electrical device into the outlet to check if it's working.
- Check if power plug is in good contact with the outlet.
- No sound, picture OK:
- Unmute the sound or increase the volume.
- Open the sound menu and adjust 'Balance'.
- Abnormal picture (no color or bad quality):
- Adjust color option in menu settings.
- Keep the TV at a sufficient distance from other electronic products.
- Try another channel.
- Bad TV signal (mosaic or snowflakes):
- Check the signal cable and adjust the antenna.
- Fine tune the channel.
- Try another channel.
Multimedia Player Problems
- 'This file is invalid' / 'Unsupported audio' appears, or audio is normal but video is abnormal, or video is normal but audio is abnormal:
- The media file may be damaged; check if it can be played on a PC.
- Check if video and audio codec is supported.
Network Problems
- Network failure:
- Check if the router works well.
- Make sure the TV is connected to the router successfully.
Browser Problems
- Web page cannot be displayed completely: Some third-party extensions may not be supported; close the current web page.
- Browser is forced to be shut down: The current web page may include too many contents, causing insufficient memory.

User Tips
- Smart TV Features: This Metz QLED TV is a Smart TV with Google TV built-in, offering personalized recommendations and access to a wide range of apps. Ensure your TV is connected to your home network via LAN or Wi-Fi to fully utilize these features.
