1. Setup and Installation

This section provides instructions for installing your MEKEDE Android 14 Car Radio Multimedia Player. Please read carefully before proceeding.

1.1 Compatibility and Pre-installation Notes

This multimedia player is designed for VW Golf 7 models from 2013-2017.

Important Notes:

• If your car has an optical fiber interface as shown in the figure below, you will need to purchase additional accessories. Please contact customer service for assistance.

• If your car's storage box contains a CD player, a long cable may be required for proper installation. Please contact customer service for guidance.

• For some car models, the control rollers may not protrude significantly after installing the frame. This does not affect functionality. If this is a concern, please consider this before purchase.

1.4 Rear View Camera Installation

To install the rearview camera, connect the power cable, reversing control line, and the black and red lines to the backup light as shown in the diagram. The unit will automatically switch to the rearview display when reversing.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 User Interface and Navigation

The device features a personalized UI design with common functions integrated into the desktop for quick access. It supports day and night modes for optimal visibility.

2.2 CarPlay and Android Auto

The unit supports built-in Wireless CarPlay (for iOS) and Android Auto (for Android) for seamless smartphone integration.

2.3 DSP Equalizer Adjustments

Enhance your audio experience with the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) equalizer. It allows for multi-dimensional surround sound effects and precise audio tuning.

2.4 Bluetooth Functionality

The built-in smart BT system supports mobile phone Bluetooth pairing, hands-free dialing, and syncing phonebook contacts. You can also stream Bluetooth music.

2.5 Radio (FM/AM/RDS)

2.9 Steering Wheel Control

The unit supports original car steering wheel controls, allowing you to manage music, calls, and other functions safely while driving. If your steering wheel lacks control buttons, an optional Bluetooth Steering Wheel Control (SWC) can be purchased.

2.10 DVR Function

Connect a USB DVR camera to record driving footage. Records are automatically saved to the GPS card. (DVR is not included and must be purchased separately).

2.11 4G LTE and WiFi Connectivity

Built-in 4G modules (not supported by M90F-M95F models, which only have WiFi) allow connection to fast cellular data networks. This enables streaming music, real-time navigation updates, and voice commands without needing a phone hotspot.

2.12 OBD II Support

With the optional OBD II function, you can monitor real-time data and retrieve fault codes from your vehicle's computer, including oil fuel speed and temperature. (OBDII device is not included).

2.13 TPMS Support

After installing the optional TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) in your car, the sensors will automatically monitor tire pressure and temperature, displaying real-time statistics. (TPMS is not included).

2.14 Cooling Fan

Equipped with a powerful cooling fan (for M95F, MNX10, MNX20, M700S, M800S models) to prevent overheating during long-term or high-temperature use, ensuring stable operation.

2.16 3D Real-Time Dynamics (ADAS)

Only M700S and M800S models support 3D Real-Time Dynamics, including ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) features like vehicle collision warning, lane departure warning, and front collision warning.

2.17 Intelligent Day/Night Mode

MN X10, MN X20, M700S, and M800S models feature an intelligent day/night mode. The daytime mode is clear and bright, while the night mode has a deep texture to reduce glare and protect your eyes.

2.18 AV Output (Optional)

The video output function allows content from the navigation host to be displayed on headrest screens, enabling rear passengers to watch HD video and audio. This feature requires purchasing additional accessories.

• No Sound: Check speaker connections. Ensure volume is not muted or too low. Verify audio settings in the DSP equalizer.
• Touch Screen Unresponsive: Try restarting the unit. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary (refer to the settings menu).
• GPS Signal Lost: Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed and has a clear view of the sky. Check navigation app settings.
• Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the unit and your phone. Delete previous pairings and try reconnecting.
• CarPlay/Android Auto Not Connecting: Ensure your phone's operating system is up to date. Try connecting with a different USB cable. Verify the 'Car Lin-K' app is running correctly.
• Unit Overheating: Ensure the cooling fan (if applicable to your model) is not obstructed. Reduce the number of simultaneously running applications.
