2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

  • Read and understand all instructions before operating the motor.
  • Ensure the motor is securely mounted to the boat's bow before use.
  • Keep hands, feet, and clothing clear of the propeller at all times, especially when the motor is in operation.
  • Disconnect power to the motor before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or propeller inspection.
  • Use only the recommended battery type (2 x 105AH Deep Cycle Battery) and ensure correct polarity when connecting.
  • Do not operate the motor if the propeller is damaged or obstructed.

  • Always wear a personal flotation device (PFD) when on the water.
  • Do not allow children to operate the motor without adult supervision.

4. Installation and Setup

4.1 Mounting the Motor

4.2 Battery Connection

This motor requires a 24V power supply. It is recommended to use two 105AH deep cycle batteries (not included) connected in series.

  2. Connect the positive terminal of the first battery to the negative terminal of the second battery (series connection).
  3. Connect the positive lead from the trolling motor to the remaining positive terminal of the battery bank.
  4. Connect the negative lead from the trolling motor to the remaining negative terminal of the battery bank.
  5. Double-check all connections for tightness and correct polarity.

4.3 Remote Control Pairing

Refer to the specific instructions included with your remote control for pairing procedures. Typically, this involves powering on the motor and pressing a pairing button on both the motor head and the remote control within a short timeframe.

4.4 Depth Adjustment

The motor features a depth collar for easy adjustment of the propeller's depth in the water. Loosen the collar, adjust the shaft to the desired depth, and then tighten the collar securely.

5. Operation

5.1 Powering On/Off

To power on the motor, ensure it is connected to the battery and press the power button on the motor head or remote control. To power off, press the power button again.

5.2 Using the Remote Control

The wireless remote control provides convenient operation of your trolling motor:

  • Speed Control: Use the speed adjustment buttons to increase or decrease motor thrust. The motor features stepless speed control for precise adjustments.
  • Steering: Use the left/right steering buttons to control the motor's direction (360° electric control).
  • Anchor Button (GPS): Activates the GPS anchor function, holding your boat's position.
  • Cruise Control (GPS): Engages cruise control to maintain a set speed and direction.

6. Maintenance

  • After Each Use: Rinse the motor unit with fresh water, especially after use in saltwater, to prevent corrosion. Wipe down all surfaces.

  • Battery Care: Keep batteries charged when not in use. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.

  • Storage: When storing the motor for extended periods, ensure it is clean, dry, and disconnected from the battery.

7. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Motor does not turn on. No power, loose battery connection, dead battery, blown fuse. Check battery connections, ensure batteries are charged, check for blown fuses.
Motor runs but with reduced power. Low battery charge, propeller fouled with debris, damaged propeller. Recharge batteries, clear propeller of debris, inspect and replace damaged propeller.
Remote control not responding. Remote battery dead, remote not paired, interference. Replace remote control batteries, re-pair the remote, move away from sources of interference.
Motor makes unusual noise. Propeller damaged or loose, debris in motor housing. Inspect propeller for damage or looseness, check for debris around the motor.
