1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the HZTZ POS-8008 Mini Portable Thermal Label and Receipt Printer. This versatile device is designed for efficient printing of labels, barcodes, and receipts, suitable for various applications including small businesses, home labeling, and office use. Featuring multi-mode connectivity (Bluetooth, USB, and optional wired/wireless network printing) and a long-lasting battery, it offers convenience and high-definition printing wherever you need it.

3. Setup Guide

3.1. Charging the Battery

The printer is equipped with a removable 2000mAh Lithium-ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the printer using the provided Type-C USB cable and power adapter.

  1. Connect the Type-C USB cable to the printer's charging port.
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the power adapter, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes a few hours.

3.2. Installing the Paper Roll

The printer supports thermal paper rolls with a width of 30mm to 80mm.

  1. Open the printer's paper compartment cover.
  2. Place the thermal paper roll onto the paper roll holder, ensuring the printing side faces the print head.
  3. Insert the paper roll and holder into the compartment.
  4. Pull a small length of paper out beyond the print head and close the cover firmly until it clicks.

3.3. Connecting to Devices

The HZTZ POS-8008 offers multiple connection options:

  • Bluetooth Connection:
    1. Turn on the printer.
    2. Enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone (iOS/Android) or tablet (iPad).
    3. Search for available Bluetooth devices and select the printer (e.g., "POS-8008").
    4. Pair the devices. You may be prompted for a PIN (usually 0000 or 1234).
    5. Use the dedicated printing app (refer to APP download codex) to print.
  • USB Connection:
    1. Connect the printer to your PC (Windows/Mac OS) using the provided USB cable.
    2. Install the printer drivers from the included Driver CD or download them from the official support website.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.
    4. The printer will appear as a selectable printer in your computer's print settings.
  • Wired/Wireless Network Printing (if applicable):

    For models supporting network printing, refer to the specific instructions provided with the APP download codex for configuration with your local network.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Powering On/Off

  • Power On: Press and hold the power button (usually marked with a power symbol) for a few seconds until the indicator lights illuminate.
  • Power Off: Press and hold the power button again until the indicator lights turn off.

4.2. Printing a Label/Receipt

Once connected to your device and with paper loaded:

  1. Open the desired document or label design in your printing application (e.g., a dedicated label design app, word processor, or POS software).
  2. Select the HZTZ POS-8008 printer from the list of available printers.
  3. Adjust print settings such as label size (if applicable, within 30-80mm range), orientation, and number of copies.
  4. Initiate the print command from your application. The printer will begin printing with 203 DPI high-definition quality.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Cleaning the Print Head

To ensure optimal print quality, regularly clean the thermal print head:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect it from power.
  • Open the paper compartment cover.
  • Gently wipe the print head with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Allow the print head to dry completely before closing the cover and powering on the printer.

5.2. Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing the printer for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
  • The battery is removable; if replacement is needed, use only genuine HZTZ replacement batteries.

5.3. Paper Handling

  • Use only high-quality thermal paper to prevent damage to the print head and ensure clear prints.
  • Store thermal paper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Ensure paper rolls are loaded correctly to avoid paper jams.

6. Troubleshooting
