5. Setup Guide

5.1 Charging the Camera

Before initial use, fully charge the camera using the provided Type-C power cable and a DC5V1.5A power adapter. The camera has a built-in 5200mAh battery (2 x 18650 cells).

5.2 App Installation

The camera operates with the 'cam720' app. Download the app by scanning the QR code below or searching for 'cam720' in your mobile app store (Android/iOS).

5.3 Account Registration & Login

1. Open the 'cam720' app.
2. Tap 'Create an account' if you are a new user, or 'Login' if you already have an account.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration or login.

5.4 Device Connection (WiFi)

The camera connects via 2.4GHz WiFi. Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz network.

1. In the cam720 app, tap 'Add a device' or the '+' icon.
2. Select the option for 'WiFi Camera' or 'Battery Camera'.
3. Power on your camera. If the indicator light is not flashing, press and hold the 'RESET' button for 5 seconds until it flashes, indicating it's ready for pairing.
4. Follow the app's instructions to connect the camera to your 2.4GHz WiFi network. You may need to scan a QR code displayed on your phone with the camera lens.
5. Keep the camera and router within a distance of two meters during the initial setup for optimal connection.

5.5 Physical Installation

1. Positioning and Punching: Choose a suitable location (indoor or outdoor) and mark the drilling points for the mounting bracket.
2. Insert Expansion Screws: Drill holes and insert the expansion screws into the wall.
3. Secure the Bracket: Attach the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Attach Camera: Rotate the camera onto the upper base of the mounting bracket until secure.
5. Adjust Angle: Adjust the camera's angle as needed. The camera offers a 90° viewing angle and can be manually adjusted 0°-360° on its mount.

6.1 PIR Human Detection

The camera features PIR (Passive Infrared) human detection. When no moving object is in the area, the camera automatically sleeps to conserve battery. Upon detecting human motion, it wakes up and pushes an alert message to your smartphone via the cam720 app.

The camera supports three night vision modes, allowing you to pick out details in darkness up to 10 meters away:

• Infrared Night Vision: Standard black and white night vision using infrared LEDs.
