3. Setup

  1. Unboxing: Carefully remove the thermal imaging camera and all accessories from the package box.
  2. Initial Charge: Before first use, fully charge the device using the provided USB cable and power adapter. Connect the USB cable to the camera and the adapter, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The charging indicator will show the charging status.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button until the screen illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down.

4.2 Basic Operation and Display

The KTI-W02 PRO features a 2.4-inch LCD screen and intuitive controls for navigation.

  • Navigation: Use the 'OK' button and arrow keys to navigate through menus and select options.
  • Temperature Measurement: The camera automatically measures temperatures within its range of -20°C to 550°C (-4°F to 1022°F). It can pinpoint up to 3 temperature spots and features a temperature alarm.

4.3 Image Modes and Color Palettes

The KTI-W02 PRO offers four distinct image modes and six color palettes to optimize visualization for different scenarios.

  • Image Modes:
    • Infrared: Displays pure thermal images.
    • Visible Light: Displays standard visual images.
    • Fusion: Blends thermal and visible light images for enhanced detail.
    • Picture-in-Picture (PIP): Overlays a thermal image onto a visible light image.
  • Color Palettes: Choose from 6 color palettes (Iron Red, White Heat, Rainbow 1, Rainbow 2, Hot Iron, Arctic) to adjust image clarity and contrast based on your preference and the environment.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body. For the lens and screen, use a lens cleaning cloth and specialized cleaning solution to avoid scratches. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the camera in its provided storage bag in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to approximately 50% every few months.
