5. Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install your liquid CPU cooler:
- Prepare your System: Ensure your computer is powered off and unplugged. Remove the side panel of your PC case.
- Prepare the CPU Socket: Identify your CPU socket type (Intel or AMD) and select the appropriate mounting hardware from the package.
- Install Backplate (if required): For some Intel sockets (e.g., LGA115X/1200/1700/1851), install the universal backplate behind the motherboard. For AMD AM4/AM5, use the original motherboard backplate.
- Attach Mounting Brackets to Pump Head: Secure the correct mounting brackets to the pump head. The cold head features a magnetic detachable design for easier handling during installation.
- Apply Thermal Paste: Apply a small amount of the provided TF7 thermal grease to the center of your CPU's IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader).
- Mount the Water Block: Carefully place the water block onto the CPU, aligning it with the mounting holes. Secure it with the appropriate screws and nuts, tightening them in a cross pattern until snug.
- Install the Radiator: Mount the radiator to an available fan mounting location in your PC case (e.g., top, front, or rear). The TL-UB36 fans are pre-installed on the radiator for convenience. Use the provided radiator screws to secure it.
- Connect Fan and Pump Cables:
- Connect the 4-pin PWM fan cables to your motherboard's CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP headers, or use the included 3-in-1 fan PWM/ARGB control wire for simplified connection.
- Connect the +5V 3PIN ARGB lighting cables to your motherboard's ARGB header.
- Important Notice: The power supply interface for ARGB lighting can be connected in series or directly plugged into the motherboard. These two modes cannot be used together. If using motherboard synchronization, refer to your motherboard's APP usage guide. The motherboard ARGB synchronization interface has a power supply limit; do not connect more than 8 devices in series to a single interface.
- Cable Management: Use the included water pipe clips to manage the tubing and cables for a clean build.
- Final Checks: Double-check all connections and ensure no cables are obstructing fan blades or moving parts.

7. Maintenance
The Thermalright PEERLESS VISION 360 UB ARGB is designed for low maintenance. However, regular checks can help ensure optimal performance and longevity:
- Dust Removal: Periodically clean the radiator fins and fan blades with compressed air to prevent dust buildup, which can impede airflow and cooling performance.
- Inspect Tubing: Visually inspect the liquid cooling tubes for any signs of kinks, damage, or leaks.
- Check Connections: Ensure all fan and pump cables are securely connected to the motherboard.
- Software Updates: Keep the TRCC software updated to benefit from new features and performance improvements.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your liquid CPU cooler, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Poor Cooling Performance:
- Verify the correct installation of the liquid cooling system. Ensure the water block is making proper contact with the CPU and thermal paste is evenly applied. Check fan orientation and ensure adequate airflow within the case.
- Coolant Leakage:
- Immediately power off your system. Check whether all fittings and connections are securely tightened. If a leak is confirmed, contact customer service for assistance. Do not attempt to repair the tubing yourself.
- Display Not Working/Frozen:
- Ensure the display's USB connection to the motherboard is secure. Restart your computer. If the issue persists, try unplugging the Type-C interface on the cold head to perform a hardware restart, then reconnect it.
- ARGB Lighting Issues:
- Check ARGB cable connections. Ensure the +5V 3PIN ARGB header on your motherboard is correctly configured in your motherboard's software. Verify that you are not exceeding the maximum number of devices (8) in series on a single motherboard ARGB interface.
9. User Tips
- For optimal cooling, ensure your PC case has good airflow and that the radiator fans are configured to push or pull air efficiently through the radiator.
- Experiment with different display themes and monitoring layouts in the TRCC software to personalize your build's aesthetic and information display.
- Regularly monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures via the cooler's display or software to ensure your system is running within safe thermal limits, especially during heavy loads.
