6.2 Data Export
You can export the historical temperature and humidity data to your email address directly from the app. Look for an export option (often an icon resembling a share or export symbol) within the sensor's interface in the app.
6.3 Temperature & Humidity Calibration
If you believe the readings are inaccurate, you can calibrate the sensor within the app settings. Select the temperature or humidity calibration option and adjust the value as needed. Confirm the changes for them to take effect.

Figure 5: Temperature & Humidity Calibration Interface
6.4 Setting Alarms
You can set upper and lower limits for both temperature and humidity. If the measured values exceed or fall below these limits, you will receive an alarm notification on your mobile device.

6.5 Smart Home Integration
The sensor can act as a data source for automation rules within the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app. For example, you can set a rule to turn on a humidifier if humidity drops below a certain level, or activate a fan if the temperature rises too high. It also supports voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant to check current readings.
7. Placement and Mounting
The sensor offers multiple placement options:
- Hanging: Use the included lanyard to hang it on a hook.
- Pasted: Adhere it to a wall or other flat surface using adhesive (not included).
- Tabletop: Simply place it on any flat surface.
- Magnetic: It can be adsorbed onto metallic surfaces using a moveable magnet sticker (not included).

Figure 7: Multiple Usage Options
Thanks to its IP65 waterproof design, the sensor is suitable for outdoor use (avoiding direct exposure to harsh weather) and in humid environments like bathrooms.

8. Maintenance
8.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery level is low, the app will display a low battery warning. Replace the two AAA batteries as described in Section 5.2. Ensure to use fresh batteries for optimal performance.
8.2 Cleaning
Wipe the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
9. Troubleshooting
- Device not connecting to app:
- Ensure batteries are correctly installed and charged.
- For WiFi version, confirm your router is 2.4 GHz and your phone is connected to it during pairing.
- For Zigbee version, ensure your Tuya Zigbee gateway is online and within range.
- Try resetting the sensor (refer to app instructions for specific reset procedure, usually a long press of a button).
- Ensure the sensor is within range of your WiFi router or Zigbee gateway.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Perform calibration in the app (Section 6.3).
- Ensure the sensor is not placed in direct sunlight, near heat sources, or in areas with extreme drafts, which can affect readings.
- No data updates:
- The sensor is designed to save power by reporting data when changes exceed ±0.5℃ or ±5%RH, or at least once an hour. If no significant changes occur, updates might be less frequent.
- Check battery level.
- Verify network connectivity.
10. User Tips
- Battery Choice: For optimal performance in cold environments like refrigerators, use lithium AAA batteries which perform better at low temperatures than alkaline batteries.
- Wi-Fi Signal Strength: For the WiFi version, ensure the sensor is placed in an area with good 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal strength to maintain stable connectivity and timely data updates.
- Strategic Placement: Place the sensor where you need the most accurate readings for a specific area, avoiding direct exposure to elements that could skew data (e.g., direct sun, vents).
- Automation Potential: Explore the automation features within the Smart Life/Tuya Smart app. You can link the sensor to smart plugs controlling humidifiers, dehumidifiers, or fans to maintain ideal environmental conditions automatically.
11. Warranty and Support
