5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Mixing

  • Gain Control: Use the Gain control (3) to set the input level for each channel. Adjust until the Level display (1) shows a strong signal without peaking (clipping).
  • Equalization: Use the HIGH, MID, and LOW equalizer controls (5) to shape the tone of each channel. The Dual 7-Band Graphic Equalizer (16) provides nuanced control over the main output.
  • Pan Control: Adjust the Pan control (8) to position the sound of each channel in the stereo image.
  • Volume Adjustment: Use the Main volume adjustment (20) for overall output, and Group volume adjustment (21) for group channels.

5.2 Effects Processing

The TFB24 features a dual FX adjustment system with 24 Vocal DSP and 8 Instrument DSP effects.

  • Use the FX control (7) on each channel to send signal to the effects processor.
  • Turn the Reverb adjustment (13) and Effect adjustment (14) knobs to select and fine-tune the desired effect type. The effect will take effect automatically.
  • Adjust the Effect volume adjustment (19) to control the overall level of the effects.
