4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Cleaning Modes

  • Vacuum, Mop & Sweep (3-in-1): The M2L Plus can simultaneously vacuum, mop, and sweep, effectively removing dust and debris. It supports 3 levels of water flow adjustment for mopping.
  • Carpet Detection & Auto Boost: When the mop holder is not attached, the robot automatically boosts suction to maximum on carpets for deeper cleaning. When the mop holder is attached, the robot will automatically avoid carpets to prevent wetting.

4.2 Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance

  • 360° LiDAR Precision Navigation: The M2L Plus uses LiDAR scanning with a 15m range to cover up to 800m² effectively. This ensures precise navigation, no blind spots, and a thorough clean in large homes and complex layouts.
  • 190° PSD Precision Obstacle Detection (FreeMove™ 3rd Technology): Equipped with 9 sets of Position Sensitive Detectors, the robot accurately detects varying shapes, colors, and sizes of obstacles, avoiding collisions and optimizing its cleaning path day or night. 5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Lefant M2L Plus. Always power off the robot before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Dust Bag Replacement

The self-emptying station uses a 2.2L dust bag. When full, simply remove the old bag and dispose of it, then insert a new one. The station is designed for easy disassembly and waste disposal.

5.2 Dustbin and Water Tank Cleaning

  • The robot has a 150ml internal dust box and a 300ml water tank.
  • Empty the dust box after each cleaning cycle if not using the self-emptying station.
  • Clean the water tank and mop cloth regularly to prevent mold and odors.

5.3 Filter Maintenance

The robot uses HEPA filters. Clean the filters regularly by tapping them to remove dust. Replace HEPA filters every 3-6 months, or more frequently depending on usage.

5.4 Brush Cleaning

  • Side Brushes: The anti-tangle side brushes should be checked and cleaned regularly for hair and debris. Replace if worn or damaged.
  • Main Brush: The anti-tangle roller brush should also be cleaned regularly. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove tangled hair and fibers.

5.5 Sensor Cleaning

Wipe all sensors (LiDAR, PSD, anti-drop sensors) with a clean, dry cloth to ensure accurate navigation and obstacle detection.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Lefant M2L Plus, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Robot not turning on: Ensure the robot is fully charged. Check if it's properly docked on the charging station.
  • Robot not connecting to Wi-Fi: Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz or 5GHz. Ensure the robot is within range of your router. Re-attempt the app connection steps.
  • Robot getting stuck frequently: Clear small obstacles, loose cables, and thick rugs from the cleaning path. Utilize the 'Custom No-Go Zones' feature in the app for problematic areas. The FreeMove™ 3rd Technology is designed to minimize this, but extreme clutter can still pose a challenge.
  • Robot not emptying dustbin: Check if the dust bag in the self-emptying station is full and needs replacement. Ensure the robot is correctly docked on the station.
  • Robot not mopping or water not dispensing: Ensure the water tank is filled and correctly installed. Check the water flow settings in the app. Clean the mop cloth.
  • Robot wetting carpets during mopping: Ensure the mop holder is correctly attached. The robot should automatically avoid carpets when the mop holder is in place. If not, check for sensor obstructions or use No-Go Zones.
  • Poor cleaning performance: Clean the main brush, side brushes, and filters. Empty the dustbin/replace the dust bag. Ensure the suction level is appropriate for the surface.
