Setup Guide

1. Drone Assembly

  1. Unfold the Drone: Carefully unfold the drone arms until they click into place.
  2. Install Propellers: Attach the propellers to the motor shafts. Ensure they are securely fastened. Use the provided screwdriver if necessary.
  3. Install Drone Battery: Insert the 7.4V 1500mAh smart lithium battery into the drone's battery compartment until it is firmly seated.
  4. Install Memory Card: Insert the provided memory card into the designated slot on the drone's camera or body.

2. Remote Control Setup

  1. Charge Remote Control: Connect the remote control to a power source using one of the provided USB charging cables. The remote control has a 3.7V 1500mAh battery.
  2. Familiarize with Controls: Refer to the 'Remote Control Guide' image below to understand the function of each button and joystick.

3. Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge both the drone battery and the remote control battery using the provided charging cables. The drone battery capacity is 7.4V 1500mAh, and the remote control battery is 3.7V 1500mAh.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

  1. Power On: Place the drone on a flat, open surface. Press and hold the power button on the drone until the indicator lights turn on. Then, press and hold the power button on the remote control until it powers on.
  2. Power Off: Power off the drone first, then the remote control.

2. Calibration

  1. Gyroscope Calibration: Follow the instructions in the remote control guide or the drone's display for gyroscope calibration. This ensures stable flight.
  2. Geomagnetic Calibration: Perform geomagnetic calibration as instructed to ensure accurate GPS positioning.

3. Flight Modes & Positioning

The S-X1 MAX drone features advanced positioning systems for stable and precise flight:

  • GPS Satellite Positioning: Provides accurate outdoor positioning and multi-functional return flight capabilities.
  • Optical Flow Positioning: Uses a bottom camera to collect image data and calculate displacement, guiding the drone to maintain stability in narrow spaces or when GPS signal is weak.

4. Take-off and Landing

7. Image Transmission

Maintenance

1. Battery Care

  • Charging: Always use the provided charging cables. Do not overcharge or completely drain the batteries.
  • Storage: Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, charge batteries to about 50-60%.
  • Inspection: Regularly inspect batteries for any signs of damage or swelling. Discontinue use if any damage is observed.

2. Cleaning

  • Drone Body: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the drone body. Avoid using harsh chemicals.

3. Propeller Replacement

Troubleshooting

1. Drone Not Responding / Unstable Flight

  • Check Battery: Ensure both drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
  • Calibration: Perform gyroscope and geomagnetic calibration before each flight, especially if flying in a new location.
  • Propellers: Verify all propellers are correctly installed and undamaged.
  • Environment: Avoid flying in strong winds or areas with magnetic interference.

2. GPS Issues / Return Flight Problems

The S-X1 MAX features multi-functional return flight based on GPS:

  • Low Power Return: The drone will automatically return when battery is low.
  • Over Distance Return: If the drone flies beyond the control range, it will attempt to return.
  • Out of Control Return: In case of signal loss, the drone will initiate an automatic return.
  • One Click Return: Use the dedicated button on the remote control for manual return.
