Setup
- Charge Drone Battery: Connect the 3.7V Lipo battery to the USB charging cable and plug it into a suitable USB power source. The charging time is approximately 40-60 minutes. Ensure the battery is fully charged before each flight.
- Install Remote Control Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control and insert 3 AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
- Install Propellers (if necessary): If the propellers are not pre-installed, attach them according to the markings (A and B) on the propellers and motor arms. Use the provided screwdriver to secure them.
- Power On Drone: Place the drone on a flat, level surface. Press and hold the power button on the drone until the indicator lights turn on.
- Power On Remote Control: Press the power button on the remote control. The remote control will automatically pair with the drone. Wait for the indicator lights on both devices to stabilize, indicating a successful connection.
- Calibrate Gyroscope: After pairing, gently push both control sticks on the remote control to the bottom-left or bottom-right corners simultaneously for a few seconds to calibrate the gyroscope. The drone's lights will flash and then become solid, indicating successful calibration.
- Connect to APP (Optional for FPV): If you wish to use your smartphone for FPV (First Person View) or advanced features, download the dedicated drone APP. Turn on your phone's Wi-Fi, connect to the drone's Wi-Fi network (usually named 'WIFI_E69' or similar), and open the APP.

Operating Instructions
The E69 Mini Drone offers various flight modes and functions for an engaging experience.
Remote Control Overview

Figure 5: Remote control layout with labeled buttons and their functions, including throttle, direction, fine-tuning, camera controls, and charging port.
Basic Flight
- One-Click Takeoff: After calibration, press the one-click takeoff/landing button (often indicated by an arrow pointing up/down) on the remote control. The drone will automatically ascend and hover at a stable altitude.
- Throttle Control (Left Stick): Push the left stick up to ascend, pull down to descend.
- Direction Control (Right Stick): Push the right stick forward to move forward, pull back to move backward. Move left/right to fly sideways.
- Turning (Left Stick Left/Right): Move the left stick left or right to rotate the drone horizontally.
- Fine-Tuning: Use the fine-tuning buttons on the remote control to correct any drifting of the drone.
- Speed Adjustment: Press the speed adjustment button (often labeled 1/2/3) to cycle through different flight speeds (low, medium, high).
- One-Click Landing: Press the one-click takeoff/landing button again, and the drone will automatically descend and land.
Advanced Features
- Optical Flow Positioning: The drone uses optical flow sensors for stable hovering and precise positioning, especially indoors or at low altitudes.
- Obstacle Avoidance: The built-in three-sided sensing obstacle avoidance system helps prevent collisions during flight.
- Headless Mode: Activate headless mode (refer to remote control diagram for button) to eliminate the need to distinguish the drone's head direction. The drone will move relative to the pilot's orientation.
- One-Click Return: Press the one-click return button to automatically bring the drone back to its takeoff point.
- 360° Flips/Stunt Roll: Press the stunt roll button and then move the right stick in any direction to perform a 360-degree flip.
- Trajectory Flight: In the APP, draw a desired flight path on your screen, and the drone will follow it autonomously.
- Gesture Recognition: The drone supports gesture recognition for taking photos. Refer to the APP instructions for specific gestures.
- Night Flight: The drone features vibrant LED lighting for impressive night flights.

Maintenance
- Battery Care: Always fully charge the drone battery before use. Do not leave batteries charging unattended. If not using the drone for an extended period, charge the battery to about 50-60% for storage.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone body and camera lens. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Propeller Replacement: If a propeller is damaged, use the provided screwdriver to carefully remove it and replace it with a spare blade, ensuring the correct A/B marking matches the motor arm.
- Storage: Store the drone and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
- Drone does not respond to remote control: Ensure both the drone and remote control are powered on and fully charged. Re-pair the remote control with the drone.
- Drone is unstable during flight: Perform a gyroscope calibration on a flat surface. Check for any damaged propellers or obstructions.
- No FPV image on phone: Ensure your phone is connected to the drone's Wi-Fi network and the drone APP is open. Check your phone's Wi-Fi settings.
- Short flight time: Ensure the drone battery is fully charged. Battery life can decrease over time; consider replacing old batteries.
- Obstacle avoidance not working: Ensure the sensors are clean and unobstructed. Fly in well-lit conditions for optimal sensor performance.
User Tips
- Practice in Open Spaces: For beginners, start flying in large, open areas free from obstacles to get accustomed to the controls.
- Start with Low Speed: Begin with the lowest speed setting until you are comfortable with the drone's handling.
- Monitor Battery Life: Always keep an eye on the drone's battery level and plan your flights accordingly to avoid unexpected landings.
- Experiment with Camera Angles: Utilize the 180° adjustable camera and dual camera options to capture unique perspectives.
- Use Headless Mode for Simplicity: If you find orientation challenging, headless mode can simplify control, especially when the drone is far away.
