Introduction
The GMKtec K7 PLUS NucBox is a high-performance mini PC designed for a wide range of applications, from office and business tasks to home entertainment and gaming. Powered by the Intel Core i7-13620H processor, it offers robust performance in a compact form factor. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your device.
Important Note for 'No RAM No Storage' Configuration:
If you have purchased the 'No RAM No Storage' option, your K7 PLUS Mini PC does not come with pre-installed memory modules or a hard drive. You will need to acquire and install these components, along with the operating system, yourself. All other configurations include a pre-installed and activated Windows 11 Pro system.

Setup Guide
1. Unpacking and Initial Inspection
- Carefully remove the Mini PC and all accessories from the packaging.
- Check for any visible damage. If any damage is found, contact your vendor immediately.
2. Hardware Installation (for 'No RAM No Storage' variant only)
If your K7 PLUS is configured without RAM and storage, follow these steps:
- Open the Chassis: Gently detach the cover lid to access the internal components.
- Install RAM: Insert DDR5 SO-DIMM memory modules into the available slots. Ensure they are seated correctly until the clips lock them in place. The K7 PLUS supports Dual Channel DDR5 4800MHz up to 96GB.
- Install SSD: Insert an M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD into the designated slot. Secure it with the provided screw. The K7 PLUS supports up to 8TB storage.
- Close the Chassis: Reattach the cover lid securely.

3. Connecting Peripherals
Refer to the port diagram below for connection points:

- Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 5525 port and then to a power outlet.
- Display: Connect your monitor(s) using the HDMI 2.0 (4K@60Hz), DisplayPort (4K@144Hz), or Type-C USB 4.0 (4K@60Hz) ports. The K7 PLUS supports triple screen display.
- Keyboard & Mouse: Connect your USB keyboard and mouse to any of the USB3.2 (Gen2) ports.
- Network: For wired internet, connect an Ethernet cable to one of the two 2.5G LAN (RJ45) ports. For wireless, ensure Wi-Fi 6 is enabled.
- Audio: Connect speakers or headphones to the 3.5mm CTIA audio jack.
4. First Power On
- Press the Power Button located on the front panel.
- If Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup.
- If you installed your own OS, proceed with the operating system installation process.
Operating Instructions
1. Operating System
Your GMKtec K7 PLUS typically comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and activated, providing a familiar and powerful computing experience. Ensure all drivers are up-to-date for optimal performance.
2. Multi-Display Setup
The K7 PLUS supports up to three displays simultaneously, enhancing productivity and immersive experiences.

- Connect your monitors to the HDMI, DisplayPort, and Type-C USB 4.0 ports.
- In Windows, navigate to 'Display settings' (Right-click on desktop > Display settings) to configure display arrangement, resolution, and orientation.
3. Network Connectivity
- Wired LAN: Utilize the dual 2.5G Ethernet ports for high-speed and stable wired network connections. These ports are compatible with Linux ESXi VMware environments.
- Wireless: The integrated Wi-Fi 6 module provides fast and reliable wireless internet access.
- Bluetooth: Bluetooth 5.2 allows for seamless connection with wireless peripherals such as headphones, keyboards, and mice.

Maintenance
1. Cooling System
The K7 PLUS features an advanced dual cooling system with copper cooling fans, multiple air vents, and a large cooling fan with a heatsink to ensure optimal thermal performance. A mini fan also boosts cooling for the DDR/SSD.
- Ensure the air vents are not obstructed to allow for proper airflow.
- Periodically clean dust from the vents using compressed air.
2. General Care
- Keep the Mini PC in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the device.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners directly on the device.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions
- No Power: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the Mini PC and a working power outlet. Try a different outlet if necessary.
- No Display: Verify that the monitor is powered on and correctly connected to the Mini PC's display ports. Try different display cables or ports. Ensure the correct input source is selected on your monitor.
- No Internet Connection (Wired): Check the Ethernet cable connections. Verify your router/modem is working correctly.
- No Internet Connection (Wireless): Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings. Check if the correct Wi-Fi network is selected and the password is entered correctly.
- Peripheral Not Detected: Try connecting the peripheral to a different USB port. Ensure the peripheral's drivers are installed and up-to-date.
- System Slowdown: Check for background applications consuming resources. Ensure sufficient free storage space. Consider running a disk cleanup or antivirus scan.
- Overheating: Ensure the Mini PC's vents are clear of obstructions. Operate the device in a well-ventilated area.
