1. Introduction
The ALIYIQI NK series Analog Force Gauge is a compact, high-accuracy instrument designed for measuring push and pull forces. It features a dual display for Newton (N) and kilogram (KG) units, allowing for synchronous display without conversion. The PEAK/TRACK knob enables switching between peak value load tests and continuous load tests. These gauges are an excellent replacement for older style force gauges and are widely applied in various industries including electric appliances (high & low voltage), hardware, automobile parts, lighters, ignition systems, light industry, mechanical, and textile for tensile and compressive load testing, insertion force, pull, and destructive experiments.
Please read this manual carefully before using the instrument to ensure proper operation and to maintain the life of the device.

6. Setup and Preparation Before Test
Before conducting any tests, ensure the gauge is properly set up:
Attaching Clamps:
Choose the appropriate joint clamp (push or pull) and install it onto the central stick of the gauge.
- For Pull Test: Choose a pull clamp and install it on the central stick marked [PULL].
- For Push Test: Choose a push clamp and install it on the central stick marked [PUSH].

Image: Examples of various clamps attached to the force gauge.
Using a Prolong Stick:
If the tested object cannot be directly reached, use the prolong stick to extend the reach for clamp installation.
Adjusting the Indicator Dial (Zeroing):
Before starting a test, confirm that the needle aims at [O] on the dial. If it does not, turn the adjustable circle of the dial until the needle aligns with [O].
Note: If the machine is placed vertically, especially with a clamp installed, the needle might lean due to the dead weight of the machine and clamp. Adjust the dial to zero in this position; this will not affect the accuracy of the testing result.
7. Operation
Follow these steps to perform accurate force measurements:
Holding the Gauge:
Tightly hold the gauge by hand or use appropriate stands to secure it during the test.
Alignment:
Ensure the tested object and the gauge are on the same straight line. Incorrect alignment will lead to inaccurate load values.

Image: Correct and incorrect testing alignment.
Changing Load Testing Mode (PEAK/TRACK Knob):
- [PEAK] to [TRACK] Mode: Lightly press the knob controller and turn it to the left. The mark "●" should be in the [TRACK] position. In TRACK mode, the needle moves in accordance with the change in force, showing continuous real-time readings.
- [TRACK] to [PEAK] Mode: Turn the knob controller to the right. The knob springs will engage, and the mark "●" will be in the [PEAK] position. In PEAK mode, the needle will hold the maximum force value reached during the test. To reset the needle after a peak test, press the knob controller, and the needle will return to [0].
Applying Force:
Apply force smoothly and steadily to the tested object via the attached clamp. Observe the needle movement on the indicator dial.
Reading the Measurement:
Read the force value directly from the dial. The outer circle typically displays Newton (N) and the inner ring displays Kilogram (KG).

8. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your force gauge:
- Avoid Overload: Never apply a load exceeding the maximum test range of the gauge. Overloading can permanently damage the internal springs and affect measurement accuracy.
- Environmental Conditions: Store and use the gauge in a stable environment, avoiding extreme low or high temperatures and high humidity. The recommended working environment is 20°C ± 10°C with 15% ~ 80% RH, free from vibrancy and cautery.
- Cleaning: Keep the instrument clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Storage: When not in use, store the force gauge in its protective carrying case to prevent physical damage.
- Long-term Storage Note: If the changing knob is left in [TRACK] mode for an extended period, the life of the inner springs may shorten. Always return the knob to [PEAK] mode after testing.
9. Troubleshooting
Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the gauge and the tested object are perfectly aligned. Misalignment can lead to incorrect values.
- Check if the needle is properly zeroed before each test. Adjust the adjustable circle of the dial if necessary.
- Avoid overloading the gauge. Repeated overloading can degrade the internal springs, leading to permanent inaccuracy.
- Needle Not Returning to Zero (after vertical use):
- This can occur due to the dead weight of the machine and clamp when used vertically. Adjust the adjustable circle of the dial to zero the needle. This is normal and does not affect accuracy.
- Needle Not Holding Peak Value:
- Ensure the PEAK/TRACK knob is correctly set to [PEAK] mode. If it's in [TRACK] mode, the needle will show continuous readings.
10. User Tips
No specific user tips from reviews or Q&A were provided. However, based on common usage:
- For consistent results, always perform multiple measurements and average them, especially for critical applications.
- When testing delicate materials, start with a lower capacity gauge if available, or apply force very gradually to avoid damage.
- Regularly check the physical condition of the clamps and prolong stick for any signs of wear or damage.
11. Warranty and Support
For any issues, malfunctions, or if you require technical support, please contact the original sales department or the manufacturer (Aliyiqi Instrument). Disassembly of the device is not recommended and may void the warranty.
