2. Setup

2.1 Setting the Time and Date

  1. Pull out the crown: Gently pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) to position 2 for setting the date, or position 3 for setting the time.
  2. Set the date: In position 2, turn the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to adjust the day and date. Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism.
  3. Set the time: In position 3, turn the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Ensure you account for AM/PM if your watch has a 24-hour indicator or if you are setting the date.
  4. Push in the crown: Once the time and date are set, push the crown back into position 1 (normal operating position) to start the watch.

3. Operating the Watch

3.1 Timekeeping

Once the time and date are set and the crown is pushed back in, your OLEVS 5662 watch will begin accurate timekeeping. The quartz movement ensures precision and reliability.

3.2 Luminous Feature

The hands of your watch are treated with a luminous material. After exposure to light, they will glow in the dark, allowing you to read the time in low-light conditions. The intensity and duration of the glow depend on the exposure time and intensity of the light source.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning Your Watch

To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and strap regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one. Avoid using chemical cleaners, as they can damage the watch's finish or strap material.

4.2 Water Resistance

Your OLEVS 5662 watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (3ATM). This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or rain. However, it is NOT suitable for showering with hot water, swimming, diving, or any activities involving prolonged water exposure or high water pressure. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.

4.3 Battery Replacement

The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops or the second hand starts skipping, it's an indication that the battery needs to be replaced. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by a professional watch repair service to ensure the watch's water resistance and proper functioning are maintained.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Watch Not Running

  • Check if the crown is fully pushed in.
  • The battery may be depleted. Consider professional battery replacement.

5.2 Date Not Changing

  • Ensure the time is set correctly, especially accounting for AM/PM. The date typically changes around midnight.
  • Avoid setting the date manually between 9 PM and 3 AM.

5.3 Condensation Inside the Watch

If you notice condensation inside the watch, it may indicate a loss of water resistance. Avoid further contact with water and have the watch inspected by a professional immediately to prevent damage to the movement.
