This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your ASMAX S1 Bluetooth Motorcycle Intercom. The ASMAX S1 is an intelligent helmet Bluetooth headset designed for seamless communication and entertainment during motorcycle rides. It features advanced Bluetooth 5.4 technology, AI voice control, FM radio, and a robust mesh communication system for up to 8 riders. The device is also IPX7 waterproof and supports 60-minute fast charging.

Installation Guide
Follow these steps to properly install the ASMAX S1 on your helmet:
- Step 1: Attach Mounting Bracket
Choose between the Metal Clamp or the 3M Glue Plate to attach the main unit to your helmet. The metal clamp provides a secure, removable attachment, while the 3M glue plate offers a permanent, low-profile solution.

Place the speaker units inside the helmet, ensuring they are positioned directly over your ears for optimal audio quality. Use the provided Velcro for speakers to secure them.

Select either the Boom Microphone (for open-face or modular helmets) or the Wired Microphone (for full-face helmets). Attach the microphone to the inside of the helmet near your mouth. Use the microphone sponge for improved sound clarity and the appropriate Velcro for securing.

Carefully route all cables (speaker and microphone) within the helmet lining to avoid interference and ensure comfort. Connect them to the main unit's ports.

Slide the ASMAX S1 main unit onto the installed mounting bracket until it clicks securely into place.

App & Bluetooth Connection
To fully utilize your ASMAX S1, connect it to your phone via Bluetooth and the dedicated ASMAX WORLD app.
- Download the ASMAX WORLD App:
Scan the QR code or search for "ASMAX WORLD" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) to download the application.

Open the ASMAX WORLD app and complete the registration process by providing your email and creating a password. Agree to the User Agreement and Privacy Policy.

Press and hold the power button on the ASMAX S1 main unit for 2 seconds to turn it on.

With the headset powered on, press and hold the function button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode.

On your phone, enable Bluetooth. The phone will automatically search for available devices. Select "ASMAX S1" from the list. You will hear a voice broadcast "device connected" once paired.

Open the ASMAX WORLD app. The app should detect your connected ASMAX S1. Follow the in-app instructions to complete the connection.

Operating Instructions
The ASMAX S1 offers two operation modes: intelligent voice commands and physical button controls. Choose the method that suits your preference.
Main Unit Controls Overview

- Volume - / Volume +: Adjusts audio volume.
- Function Button: Multi-purpose button for various functions.
- Intercom Button / LED Indicator: Initiates intercom and displays device status.

Communicate with Others (Intercom)
The ASMAX S1 supports two main intercom modes: Group Mode and Free Mode, along with Universal Pairing for compatibility with other brands.
- Group Mode: A private mesh communication mode for up to 8 riders. Requires mesh networking setup via the app.
- Group Mesh:
- Voice Command: "Hi Max, group mesh"
- Button Operation: Long press Intercom button for 2s.
- After hearing the number of team members on the broadcast, the group is active.
- Cancel Group Mesh:
- Button Operation: Long press Intercom button for 2s while in group mesh state.
- Create Leader Group in Group Mode (via App):
- Click ASMAX WORLD app.
- Create a group mesh.
- Confirm group members.
- Group owner clicks on the menu icon in the top right corner.
- Click on "Leader".
- Click on "+" and select friends to add.
- Create Private Chat for Mesh Intercom (via App):
- Click ASMAX WORLD app.
- Create a team room and invite others.
- Click on the friend you want to send a private message to, then click to send a private chat invitation.
- Once the other person accepts in the app, a private chat will be created.
- Switch between Leader Group Chat and Group Intercom:
- Button Operation: Long press Intercom button for 2s.
- Switch between Private Chat and Group Intercom:
- Button Operation: Long press Intercom button for 2s.
- Group Mesh:
- Free Mode: An open intercom mode where devices automatically connect within communication range (up to 8 people). No prior pairing required.
- Activate Free Mode:

- End Intercom:
- Voice Command: "Hi Max, end intercom"
- Button Operation: Short press Function button.
- Activate Free Mode:
- Universal Pairing: Allows connection with other brands of Bluetooth headsets (excluding Free Mode).

- With power on, press the Function button for 3s.
- Voice announcement: "Start pairing"
- Note: Non-ASMAX Bluetooth headsets need to activate their Bluetooth pairing mode simultaneously.
- Connect to Universal Device:
- Voice announcement: "Universal pairing"
- Voice announcement: "Universal connected"
- Double click the Function button to start intercom.
- Turn off Bluetooth Universal Pairing:
- Button Operation: Double tap Function button (x2 Tap).
- Initiate Universal Pairing:
Restoring Factory Settings
To reset your device to its original factory settings:
- Button Operation: Long press the Function button for 3 seconds. The device will reboot and reset.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the main unit. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Water Resistance: The device is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. However, avoid prolonged exposure to water and ensure the Type-C port cover is securely closed.
- Charging: Use only the provided Type-C cable and a compatible charger. Do not exceed 15V input voltage.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Software Updates: Regularly check the ASMAX WORLD app for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features. The device supports Fota (Firmware Over-The-Air) upgrades.
Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on:
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a charger for at least 10 minutes, then try powering on again.
- Cannot connect to Bluetooth:
- Make sure the ASMAX S1 is in pairing mode (long press Function button for 3s).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Try restarting both the ASMAX S1 and your phone.
- If connecting to a non-ASMAX device, ensure that device is also in pairing mode.
- Voice commands not responding:
- Ensure the device is powered on and connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
- For online features (navigation, messaging), ensure the ASMAX WORLD app is connected and your phone has internet access.
- For "Activate Voice Assistant", ensure "Voice Dialing" is enabled in the ASMAX app.
- Speak clearly and directly into the microphone.
- Intercom not working:
- Check if you are in the correct intercom mode (Group or Free).
- Ensure all riders are within the communication range.
- For Group Mode, verify that mesh networking is properly set up via the app.
- If using Universal Pairing, ensure the other brand's headset supports universal pairing and is correctly connected.
- Poor audio quality / Noise:
- Ensure speakers are correctly positioned over your ears.
- Check microphone placement and ensure the sponge is attached.
- The ENC Noise Reduction feature should minimize background noise, even at high speeds (up to 120 km/h).
- Adjust volume levels.
- FM Radio not receiving stations:
- Ensure the FM radio function is turned on.
- The FM radio receives European frequencies (76-108 MHz). Check your location's frequency range.
- Try moving to an area with better signal reception.
User Tips
- Multitasking Audio: The ASMAX S1 supports parallel audio, allowing you to listen to music or GPS navigation while in intercom mode. This can be managed via the ASMAX app.
- Voice Control for Convenience: Utilize the "Hi Max" voice command for hands-free operation of music, navigation, and calls, especially useful while riding. The manual is available in English, German, Italian, French, and Spanish.
- App Integration: For advanced features like team leader chat, private chat, and automatic call answering settings, make sure to use the ASMAX WORLD app.
- FM Radio Frequencies: The FM radio supports 76-108 MHz, which covers European frequencies.
