4.2 Installation Steps
- Mounting: Securely attach the M70 dashcam to your vehicle's dashboard or windshield using the provided adhesive mount. Ensure the front camera has a clear, unobstructed view of the road.
- Insert TF Card: Insert a Class 10 or higher Micro SD/TF card (up to 256GB) into the TF Card Slot. This is essential for recording video.
- Insert 4G SIM Card (Optional): If you wish to use 4G internet and remote monitoring features, insert a compatible 4G SIM card into the SIM Card Slot.
- Connect GPS Antenna: Plug the GPS antenna into the 3.5mm GPS Jack. Position the antenna in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.
- Connect Rear Camera (Optional): If you have the optional rear camera, connect it to the AV IN (2.5mm 4-pin AHD 1080P Rear Cam Jack) and route the cable to the rear of your vehicle. Ensure the rear camera is mounted securely and provides a clear view.
- Power Connection:
- ACC Cable (Recommended for Parking Monitoring): Connect the Red wire (ACC wire) to your vehicle's ACC power source (power only when ignition is on). Connect the Yellow wire (constant power) to the positive terminal of the car battery (constant power). Connect the Black wire (negative wire) to the vehicle's body ground. This setup enables 24-hour parking monitoring and remote live streaming.
- Car Charger: Alternatively, connect the provided car charger to the Type-C port on the device and plug it into your car's cigarette lighter socket. Note that 24-hour parking monitoring and remote live streaming may not function properly with this method.
- AUX Cable (Optional): If you plan to use AUX audio output, connect the AUX cable to the AUX Jack on the device and to your car's AUX input.
5. Operating Instructions

6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Device
Gently wipe the screen and device body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
6.2 Software Updates (OTA)
The M70 supports Over-The-Air (OTA) updates. Connect the device to the internet (via 4G or WiFi) to check for and install the latest software versions. This ensures optimal performance and access to new features.

Figure 15: OTA Upgrade Process
6.3 TF Card Management
Regularly format your TF card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal recording performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important video files before formatting.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on. | No power supply or loose connection. | Check power cable connection (ACC or car charger). Ensure car charger is fully inserted or ACC wires are correctly connected to power sources. |
| Recording not working. | TF card full, corrupted, or not inserted correctly. | Ensure TF card is inserted properly. Format the TF card via device settings. Replace with a new Class 10 TF card if issues persist. |
| GPS signal weak or not found. | GPS antenna obstructed or improperly placed. | Ensure GPS antenna is placed in an open area with a clear view of the sky. Check antenna connection. |
| Remote monitoring not working. | Incorrect power connection (using car charger), no 4G SIM, or app not configured. | Ensure device is powered via ACC cable. Verify 4G SIM card is inserted and active. Check CarKeeper app settings and network connection. |
| CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting. | Bluetooth/WiFi issues on phone or device, incompatible phone. | Ensure Bluetooth and WiFi are enabled on both devices. Restart both the phone and the M70. Check for software updates. |
8. User Tips
- For optimal performance of remote monitoring and 24-hour parking surveillance, always connect the M70 using the provided ACC cable rather than just the car charger.
- Regularly check for and install OTA software updates to ensure your device has the latest features and bug fixes.
- To maintain smooth recording and prevent data issues, format your TF card periodically (e.g., monthly). Remember to back up any important footage first.
