Introduction
The Tuya ZigBee Smart Knob Switch is a versatile wireless scene button and rotatable dimmer designed for smart home automation. It allows for intelligent linkage with other Tuya smart devices, providing convenient control over your home appliances and lighting. This device requires a Tuya ZigBee gateway for operation and cannot be used as a standalone unit.

Important Notes
- This device is designed for intelligent linkage with Tuya smart devices only. It cannot be used independently without a Tuya smart device.
- A Tuya ZigBee gateway is required for this product to function.
- This product does NOT support Z2MQTT or HomeAssistant (HA). Attempting to use it with these systems may result in abnormal operation.

Setup
1. Requirements
- A Tuya ZigBee Gateway (Hub) is essential for the knob switch to function.
- The Smart Life or Tuya Smart App installed on your smartphone.
- Compatible ZigBee smart devices (e.g., lights, plugs) to control.
2. Connecting to Tuya ZigBee Gateway
- Ensure your Tuya ZigBee gateway is powered on and connected to your home network.
- Open the Smart Life or Tuya Smart App on your smartphone.
- In the App, add the intelligent knob switch to your Tuya intelligent ZigBee gateway.
- Once the knob switch is added, you can then add compatible ZigBee light bulbs or other smart devices under the remote dimming interface within the App for control.

Operating Instructions
The Smart Knob Switch offers various functions depending on the interaction type. It can operate in two main modes: Scene Mode and Remote Mode.
Switching Modes (Button Mode / Dimming Mode)
To switch between Button Mode (Scene Mode) and Dimming Mode (Remote Mode), perform three quick presses on the knob button.

Remote Mode Operations (Dimmer Functions)
When in Remote Mode, the knob switch provides the following controls for ZigBee dimming lamps:
- Single Press: Turns the connected bulb ON or OFF.
- Rotate: Adjusts the brightness (normal dimmer function).
- Double Press and Rotate: Sets the color temperature of compatible lights.
- Long Press (more than 3 seconds): Sets the color of compatible lights.

Scene Mode Operations
In Scene Mode, the knob switch acts as a wireless scene button to trigger pre-configured smart scenes in the Tuya Smart App:
- Single Click: Triggers a specific scene, e.g., "Home Mode" to turn on all lights, air conditioners, and fans.
- Double Click: Triggers another scene, e.g., "Away Mode" to turn off all lights and electronic devices before leaving.

Group Control Function
The knob switch supports group control, allowing you to manage multiple ZigBee lights/bulbs and smart devices simultaneously through the Tuya Smart App.

Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The device is powered by a CR2450 battery. When the device's performance degrades or it stops responding, it may be time to replace the battery. Refer to the product's physical design for battery compartment access. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the new battery.
Cleaning
Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
Troubleshooting
Resetting the Device
If you encounter issues or need to re-pair the device, you can perform a reset:
- Locate the reset button on the device (often a small pinhole).
- Press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds. The device's indicator light should blink to confirm the reset.

Unable to Reset
If the device does not reset after holding the reset button for 8 seconds and the light does not blink, ensure you are pressing the correct reset button and not accidentally pressing the dimmer button. The dimmer button will not initiate a reset.
Disconnection Issues / Cannot Reconnect
If your product frequently disconnects from the internet or cannot be reconnected to the Smart Life or Tuya app, it is possible that the device uses a counterfeit Tuya brand chip. In such cases, it is recommended to immediately contact your supplier for assistance.

User Tips
- Gateway Proximity: For optimal performance and stable connection, ensure the smart knob switch is within a reasonable range of your Tuya ZigBee gateway.
- Scene Planning: Before setting up scenes, plan out your desired automations in the Tuya Smart App to maximize the utility of the single and double click functions.
- Battery Life: While the CR2450 battery offers long life, keep a spare on hand for uninterrupted use.
