1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and effective installation, operation, and maintenance of your DC Electric Linear Actuator. This device is designed for various applications requiring linear motion, such as window lifts, desk lifts, and other automated systems in tiny houses or similar setups. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product.

2. Safety Precautions

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage to the motor, please observe the following precautions:

  1. Do not operate the motor under overload (stall) conditions, as this may easily damage the motor.
  2. Select a power supply with appropriate voltage (DC).
  3. If the load exceeds the rated value, the rotational speed will decrease.
  4. Operating near the stall torque limit may cause internal damage.
  5. Reducing the rotational speed will result in decreased output torque.
  6. The push rod motor is not suitable for use in water. Damage or burnout due to water exposure will be the user's responsibility.
  7. When using multiple push rods simultaneously, be aware that due to manufacturing tolerances in internal gears, motor rotors, and other accessories, slight variations in speed and thrust may occur.

5. Installation

5.1 Installation Dimensions

Before installation, confirm that the installation space is sufficient and choose the appropriate speed according to the weight of the object being pushed.

5.2 Wiring Method

The DC electric push rod motor (12V/24VDC) has two wires. Connecting these wires to the positive and negative electrodes will control the extension and retraction of the rod. To control the telescopic movement, you can add a positive and negative switch to reverse the polarity.

6. Operation

6.1 Basic Operation

The linear actuator extends or retracts based on the polarity of the DC voltage applied to its two wires. Reversing the polarity will reverse the direction of motion.

6.2 Speed and Thrust Adjustment

The speed of the push rod can be adjusted by varying the input voltage. Reducing the voltage will decrease both the speed and the thrust. Note that faster speeds generally result in smaller accurate force, while slower speeds provide greater thrust.

7. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your linear actuator, follow these general maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the actuator clean and free from dust and debris.
  • Avoid exposing the unit to water or excessive moisture, as it is not waterproof.
  • Regularly inspect the wiring for any signs of wear or damage.
  • Ensure that the mounting points are secure and free from corrosion.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your linear actuator, consider the following:

  • Actuator not moving: Check the power supply to ensure it is providing the correct DC voltage (12V or 24V). Verify that the wiring connections are secure and correctly polarized. Ensure the load does not exceed the rated capacity.
  • Slow or weak movement: This could indicate an excessive load or insufficient voltage. Reduce the load or ensure the power supply is adequate.
  • Intermittent operation: Check for loose connections or potential damage to the internal components. Avoid operating under stall conditions.

9. Warranty and Support

For any issues not covered in this manual or for technical support, please refer to the official product page or contact the seller directly. Keep your purchase records for any warranty claims.
