3. Setup Guide

3.1 Mounting the Monitor

The monitor can be mounted using the included Mini Hot Shoe Mount Adapter:

  1. Attach the Mini Hot Shoe Mount Adapter to your camera's hot shoe or a compatible mounting point.
  2. Secure the monitor to the adapter using the 1/4"-20 thread point located at the bottom of the monitor.
  3. Adjust the viewing angle. The adapter allows for 180° vertical viewing angle adjustment and 360° base rotation.

3.2 Powering the Monitor

The T7 PRO offers flexible power options:

  • DC Power Input: Connect a DC 7-24V power adapter (2A recommended, DC 5.5*2.1mm power plug) to the 'DC IN' port for continuous power.
  • NP-F Battery: For mobile applications, install an NP-F series battery (e.g., F550, F750, F970) onto the NP-F battery slot on the back of the monitor. (Battery not included, purchase separately).

3.3 Connecting to a Camera (HDMI)

The T7 PRO supports 4K HDMI input and output:

  1. Connect one end of an HDMI cable (standard or micro HDMI, depending on your camera) to your camera's HDMI output port.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the 'HDMI IN' port on the T7 PRO monitor.
  3. If you need to loop out the signal to another device, connect an HDMI cable from the 'HDMI OUT' port on the T7 PRO to your secondary display or recorder.
  4. For audio monitoring, plug 3.5mm stereo headphones into the headphone jack.

3.4 Attaching the Sunshade

For improved visibility in bright conditions, attach the portable sunshade:

  1. Align the sunshade frame with the edges of the monitor.
  2. Gently snap or slide the sunshade into place, ensuring it is securely attached.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the 'EXIT' button (usually combined with power icon) to turn the monitor on or off.
  • Menu Access: Press the 'MENU' button to enter the main menu.
  • Navigation: Use the 'Up' and 'Down' buttons to navigate through menu options.
  • Selection: Press the 'MENU' button again to select an option or confirm a setting.
  • Exit: Press the 'EXIT' button to go back one level in the menu or exit the menu entirely.

4.2 Custom Buttons (F1-F4)

The T7 PRO features four customizable shortcut keys (F1, F2, F3, F4) that allow you to quickly access frequently used functions. To assign a function:

  1. Enter the main menu.
  2. Navigate to the 'User Option' or 'Function Settings' section.
  3. Select the desired F-button (F1-F4) and choose a function from the available list (e.g., Peaking, False Color, Zoom).
  4. Once assigned, a short press of the F-button will activate/deactivate the chosen function.

4.3 Professional Monitoring Functions

The monitor includes a comprehensive suite of tools to aid in accurate image analysis:

4.4 Custom 3D LUT Loading

The T7 PRO supports custom 3D-LUTs for precise color calibration and creative looks. It comes with 4 built-in LUTs and allows importing up to 32 custom .cube files via a USB drive.

  1. Save your .cube LUT files to the root directory of a USB drive.
  2. Connect the USB drive to the Mini USB port on the monitor using the provided USB to Mini USB cable.
  3. Navigate to the 'LUT' menu option.
  4. Select 'Import LUT' and choose the desired files from your USB drive.
  5. Once imported, you can apply the LUTs in real-time during monitoring.

4.5 HDR Monitoring

The T7 PRO supports HDR monitoring, which enhances clarity in both highlights and shadows, providing a more realistic image representation.

4.6 Language Settings

The monitor supports 12 languages, allowing you to switch the interface language as needed.

  1. Enter the main menu.
  2. Navigate to the 'System' or 'Language' settings.
  3. Select your preferred language from the list (e.g., English, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese).

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning the Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for electronics screens. For stubborn smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with distilled water or a screen-cleaning solution. Do not spray liquid directly onto the screen.
  • Cleaning the Housing: Wipe the aluminum housing with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
  • Heat Dissipation: The aluminum housing is designed for excellent heat dissipation. Ensure the ventilation slots are not blocked during operation to maintain optimal performance and longevity.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the monitor in a dry, dust-free environment, preferably in its original packaging or a protective case.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the FEELWORLD official website for firmware updates. Updates can be installed via the Mini USB port.

6. Troubleshooting
